my wife blinked when I told her my dream amount was up to $171.00 (vampire + Ebonwrath+both paint sets+mini case, currently sitting at Ghoul level), then she started trying to figure out a way for me to have that free when August 25th rolls around.

I got the best wife ever!!!

So I have a dumb question.

If I were to, say, pledge a significant amount for one of those greens . . . do I have to have that green?

Because if you've got some more, I dunno, Dennis Mize sexy lady greens kicking around I'd find that infinitely more tempting than the others.

Not that the others aren't good, but you only offered one Mize sexy lady green and she was gone before I even found out about the kickstarter. I do, however, understand that "altering the deal" after pledges for greens have already happened might seem unfair and make people feel a bit Lando Calrissian.

So I expect I already know the answer to my stupid question. But . . . figured it was worth asking. A lot can happen in 16 days.

And just so you know . . . I would do unspeakable things for a Dennis Mize green. Unthinkable things. Unthingable things!

Buglips - I don't think that's really an option. TBH, I'm surprised at how low the response for those has been - I think the Avatar of Sokar is an amazing green, it's one of my favorite minis to boot, and it's cheaper than we paid for it in the first place!

I'm also really surprised the Avatar isn't gone. It's a beautiful sculpt. But, although I wouldn't be surprised if some of us hit $500 by the time we add so many things to our vampire pledges...I know I can't afford the $1000 total to get the green, too!

All true, but you also got production rights with that price tag. I think it was different with the CAVs, as they had intrinsic value because they are cast in silver. I don't recall seeing Green Stuff on the NYSE commodities board the last time I looked. Not that I see a model like a silver CAV ever getting melted down by someone that buys it, but you get my meaning.

While owning the original green for a mini is undeniably cool, is it $400+ cool? *shrug* I've paid some pretty ridiculous prices for stuff that couldn't normally be had otherwise, but unless it is was my favoritest miniature EVAR, probably not.

The trick is, finding that person, and hoping they have the cash to lay out for that pledge level. ::):

For whatever reason that one doesn't appear to be as attractive. I'm guessing the shorter period and having to compete for Reaper's time with the rest of the attendees.

Either way, unfortunately I can't afford either option, but others have stated that they would buy in for the week long deal if more were available. Me, I just want the numbers to go up.

I seriously considered the greens.

Then I thought "what do I do with it?"

Its a green, if you paint it its useless, if you don't paint it its useless... so I skipped on the idea of pledging that high (and in the end I couldn't afford such a high pledge anyway).

Or I'll have a meltdown trying to keep up with painting. I'm a little ocd about "you gets it, you paints it." Maybe I'll save all my vacation time till then. I've already got a mini-fridge in my painting space, I should convert the closet up there to a bathroom, and I'll be all good.
