Dangnabbit I may have to buy back into this.

Our hooks run deep!

Your indoctrination methods are sublime. Like, what, a week ago I was metal-only, fantasy-only, PERIOD. Never change. EVER!

Now I'm practically having palpitations over a plastic cyborg monkey.

You're . . . you're not going to tell me to go forth and kill in your name or anything are ya?

Indeed they do. The trade thread pushed me back in as now I don't have to justify to myself spending $100 on a bunch of figures I'll never paint. I can just trade them for ones I will.

Also thinking getting the Giants and if it turns out these:

1) Are preassebeled

2) and if that would make painting them difficult for me at least (wont know until I see one)

Would Reaper be willing to exchange them for store credit (at the KS buy in level of course)?

Love the KickStarter drive! Me and my friends meet Sunday to pool our money. Instead of being reasonable and getting an undertaker, I suspect by the end of the night we will have a Vampire set and 5 Ebonwraths lol. The only thing that makes me sad is the lack of gnome love. We have 3 gnomes in our 3.5 campaign, and I'm friends with a 4th. We would be battling to the death for a gnome expansion like the dwarven one. We're already eyeing Cassie (so far I win upon the condition I paint her pastel pink- I play a Gnome summoner. She's basically a lime green Cassie with a serpentine eidolon).

BTW, gnome fighters are hilarious. Just saying. :) <3 To Reaper!

Dang... that reveal got people talking. Anyone hurt? Do I need to call a paramedic? ::o:

Ah, so… Chronoscope! It's um… the um…Science-Fiction/Modern/Steampunk/Martial-Arts/Pulp/Old West/Big Monkeys/Super Hero line of minis, right? Not sure what I'll do with them, but I sure want them anyway. Nice looking figures even if there's no chance a low-level D&D party could take on lasers and shotguns and robo-monkey-hand-cannons!

Oh, and that skeletal giant is awesome, but… I mean, but…

You know when you go to Vegas, and you set yourself a spending limit, then you blow it all early in the evening and then have to decide whether to get more chips or go have a drink? Yeah, that's about what I feel like now.

I gotta ask, do you have a cobalt blue or do you just like them? They are nasty little [email protected]#&5$%s, but pretty and very cool!

I had one, got her as a "sick spider" charity case from my snake breeder, but she passed away a while back. I do love them though.

I had a zebra knee and he was fun because you could "handle" it. The cobalts I've seen rear and hiss at your shadow! But they are gorgeous. It makes me want to get another spider whenever I see your avatar!

I want buglips to DM all of my games forever.

I'm not bad at it, but I'm not very fond of rules. I make a better player, actually. I have a gypsy swindler thief disguised as a mercenary fighter, who never steals, is renowned as a great warrior, and is so effective at fast-talking that I gained the proficiency for free.

and 5 Ebonwraths

Whattaya playin, Council of Wyrms? :upside:

Pish!

You just take all those years of dice-rolling experience and hit the craps table. Only not for too long, and you'll want to switch casinos frequently.

We love the Reaper!

The Reaper is good, the Reaper is great, we surrender our will, as of this date!

Not to be...argumentative...but the way Reaper is doing things ($25 shipping max, $100 delcared customs max if you order Vampire + whatever your heart desires), no matter how you look at it is a steal. Maybe not quite as good a deal for international, but $25 max shipping is insane, and Reaper has no control over customs (though they are going above and beyond on that score).

Still, we all have to make our own measure. No worries.

Yeah sorry I'm not trying to start an argument either. My point was just, for me it's borderline whether the deal will be worth it or not. And since I am only interested in fantasy minis, sci-fi minis do nothing to increase the value of this deal for me. Reaper is running their business and can do so however they like, and I am sure that many people who already feel that the existing deal was worth it for them are happy one way or the other. But for me (and presumably some other people in my position) it would make it more likely to buy the deal if I could swap out the sci-fi minis for something else of a lesser or equal value.

Are there local gamers where you are that DO like sci-fi miniatures and gaming? Maybe trade locally?
