Looking for figure.

Recommended Posts

I was looking through the Kickstarter info and came across something I hoped someone could help with.

In the picture for the Vampire level pledge reward there is one figure that looks like a female fighter, with one foot up on the head of a dead dragon. I recognize most of the other figures, but not that one. I tried searching the online store, but I can't seem to find that particular figure. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks! ::D:

It's a new Bones sculpt!

I assume by "new" you mean not yet released? I don't see it in either the Bones section of the on line store or the Preview gallery.

New sculpt. Not in metal. Upcoming Bones release with the Kickstarter. Get your mitts on it with the Kickstarter or wait until it's released later.

To pile in: unique figure exclusive to the Bones line. Or so I'm told.

And for what it's worth -- if I remember right, that figure is one that Julie Guthrie sculpted as a speculative piece (no definite client), she won the GenCon sculpting contest with it (last year), and then Reaper decided to buy the rights to produce it. Very nice work.

Here's what I just found on the Web: http://genconminipai...llery.php?2:1:6

Some nice pictures of Julie Guthrie Dragon Hunter, Patrick Keith Valkyrie is also there!

And, Ali Scheirman won Gold in the Painters category with is Peacock Elf Warrior at last ReaperCon.

As for the new Wizard, I'm clueless. It looks like Bobby Jackson's style.

Cool! I'l definitely be looking into getting that Dragon Hunter figure one way or the other. BTW, is anyone going to be producing that Flying Witch that Julie also did? Another great sculpt.

Great! Thanks for the link.

Agreed, it will be nice to see those excellent sculpts available.

I don't know whether anyone has bought the rights to the flying witch, but I really like it too (agreeing with @MikeD). Making a figure appear to be flying is difficult, but Julie's grouping of bats is very elegant.

It would definitely be a nice model for Halloween.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get the rights to that Witch miniature. :grr: It's currently being produced by Coolminiornot.com under the name of Ginger Ginny.

Dang, that mean it will cost twice as much.

Nice to see the pics though. Sometimes stuff doesn't stay in the display case very long at GenCon.

I was a little surprised to not see this already here.  I just got a 48 hour notification on a game called "Lurkers of the Deep" - it's apparently an expansion to a miniatures game, but in addition to the game they're also selling a bunch of 20s/30s pulp/cthulhu style minis.  (And a number of buildings, too.)  I'm not interested in the game, but I put down a 30 pound pledge to get a bunch of the figures and get the various free stretch goals figures.

There's only another 46 or so hours left, so I guess that means it ends early on March 1st.

I have me a bit of a dubious, largely because I'm not certain these will, in fact, work for anybody. But. Still.. the concept is pretty damn cool.

"Tilt Five is a whole new way to play games, in Augmented Reality (AR), with freaking holograms!
When you slip on the Tilt Five glasses and look at the game board, a vibrant 3D world opens up to you.  Suddenly chasms seem to drop infinitely into your table, and game characters and monsters spring up from the game board.  This is gaming unlike anything you've experienced before.
"When we started designing the Tilt Five system our focus wasn't on the technology for technology's sake.  We wanted to provide an amazing gaming experience that blends the things you love about video games and board games. And we wanted it to be just as fun when playing solo, together with your friends, or even when you're apart."  Jeri Ellsworth, Co-Founder & CEO "

Be interesting to see if this lives up to itself.

"You take your game seriously. Now it's time for a serious screen.
In October of 2018, Dog Might released the first fully sculpted GM Screen, the Valhalla Screen. Since then, we have released over 30 more designs, including officially licensed screens for: Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, and Vampire: The Masquerade. We have also designed screens for you favorite shows, such as Relics and Rarities and the Critical Role stream of Undeadwood. Over the last year and a half, our Valhalla Screens have proven to be our most sought after product. "

... Would it surprise anybody here to know I want one?
If I can't have one, at least I can spread the word. ;p
