Well, I finally got this guy finished, from armature, to casting, to paint. It is pretty awesome to have taken this guy full circle and I am very proud of it.

For those of you who don't know, I sculpted this as my first sculpt over a year ago. I chronicled that journey in this WIP. You can follow the painting in this WIP.

So, without further ado, here are the final shots (click on the pictures for full size):

Congratulations, Andy! It has been great seeing you take this from concept to completion. You have joined an elite few who can both sculpt and paint beautifully. I'll be one of many in line to pick this up when it becomes available. I can't wait to see what is next from you!

Wow, thanks for the compliments and support everyone.

so.... what's your next model, eh?

:;):

Can't really say. I have a few done and sold already, but you'll have to wait for them to be anounced by the mfgr. As for what I am working on, well again, if I want to sell it, I'll need to keep that between my client and I. I'm typically working about 6 months ahead of release, give or take a month or two. Reaper has my Animal Companions (Warthog, Vulture, and Sloth) in Preview right now. ::D:

Admittedly, this is what actually got me wanting to sculpt. When I was younger, my older brother used to play war hammer, and that was my first taste of mini painting. Unfortunately, I didn't understand that there was pinning, and putting together models, so when I bought my own things, I didn't get too far on them. When I did get interested in them again a while back (thank you Citrine), I hadn't even thought about sculpting until I saw this guy's WIP. It's really awesome to see him finished now. :)
