future bones dragon prices----- after kickstarter

I have done green stuff conversions with Bones models (trolls and ogre). It's worked out fine. I was adding sport gear to make them into Blood Bowl players.

 

It wouldn't hurt if they did a weapon pack sprue or two, but if you wanted to put a bit of wire in a hand and sculpt your own weapon, I don't see an issue.

Honestly think the bones line has completely hooked me. I went to the store and grabbed a bugbear just to test the paint with no primer, the detail, bendyness .... all the claims. All true. I have to say, im ready to trade a bunch of my pewter stuff for some lighter, more forgiving cheaper bones.

I wouldnt be surprised to see "really popular metal that had sales nosedive when metal prices jumped made into plastic" e.g. the big boys.

 

Reaper will still have folks like me, who aren't into plastic figures.

 

Personally I much prefer the metal figs and will be sticking with DHL over Bones 90% of the time.

I also prefer metal for my collection or something I'm going to put effort into painting. I see Bones as table-duty game stuff. Quick lick of paint, maybe some dip shading, and off to battle. They're nice, for plastic, and I'm enthused about them but only as a practical adjunct to my primary metal passion.
