Yes, but I like the illusion of control.......

It is very addictive!   It is my Big Brother show for the month...   ... Without the tramps attention whores of course.   I've never done Kickstarter before this campaign. Lots of fun.

You mean like have it open, and watch it through out the day, and log the totals I see periodically in a spreadsheet so i can see just how how far it goes while I'm working?   No, No, I don't do tha

Sleep is for the weak.

Yes. The Week After Kickstarter Ends! Ba-Dum Bum!

Oh, I have no idea how much time is in this - I do a lot of the behind the scenes graphics and text writing, but so does Ron. Ed and Matt manage the business angle/costs/etc. and Ron and I mostly developed the rewards themselves. Then from home, I watch the ticker so i can update the goals, and answer questions. How much time do I spend a day? All of it. And I'm as addicted to the ticker as you guys, This is the most exciting and fun work has been for me in a long time!

I will be curious to see how badly hammered Kickstarter's servers get towards the end of this. With Sedition Wars the entire system kept crashing during the last 48 hours as the goals started flying through with last minute bidders and people refreshing the site. They basically created a Denial of Service attack on accident.

My obsessiveness has me predicting we will reach the 175k elves stretch goal within 10 minutes of 6pm Central time.

Not far from our estimate! And I like that, becuase it means I can have dinner at a normal time.

Hmm. My prediction model is wrong, because it's now saying that we should be hitting 175k NOW.

Gonna have to work on perfecting it tomorrow.

Either that, or someone needs to pony up $3k now....

With Reaper's widget, maybe we won't have to overload the KS servers?

Just Reaper's?

Heh. No love for Kickstarter from us in that regard. My widget polls their data. Every reload equals another hit.

Keep hammering' guys!

I'm surprised by that. Those Sedition Wars backers must've meant business!

I don't remember any serious problems with the Order of the Stick Kickstarter, and that ended with nearly 15,000 backers. (Althought, I admit, I wasn't checking in all that frequently to see how it was doing.)

I wouldn't worry I look at it as a nice surprise for tomorrow morning. ::):

Previews for Reaper's June releases just went up in the "Previews" section, and they're from the Bones 5 Kickstarter.  Granted, there's still April and May unaccounted for, but there are a number of large models from the Bones 4 Kickstarter that haven't been released at retail yet.  We already know they're suggesting that the Stygian Barge may never be released, but I'm hoping most of the rest will be.  By my count, all of these haven't hit the game stores yet:

      Narglauth
      Dragon Turtle
      Agramon, Duke of Hell
      Blacksting Wyvern
      All of the Fantasy Scenics
      Thunderfoot Behemoth
      Blacktooth Terror
      Dance of Death
      Mossbeard Treeman
      Skeletal Dragon
      Nyarlathotep
      Argent
      Gauth

Am I missing anything?  Any word from Reaper about whether or not these will ever be available againt, outside of the Bones 4 Kickstarter?

I was a little surprised to not see this already here.  I just got a 48 hour notification on a game called "Lurkers of the Deep" - it's apparently an expansion to a miniatures game, but in addition to the game they're also selling a bunch of 20s/30s pulp/cthulhu style minis.  (And a number of buildings, too.)  I'm not interested in the game, but I put down a 30 pound pledge to get a bunch of the figures and get the various free stretch goals figures.

There's only another 46 or so hours left, so I guess that means it ends early on March 1st.

I have me a bit of a dubious, largely because I'm not certain these will, in fact, work for anybody. But. Still.. the concept is pretty damn cool.

"Tilt Five is a whole new way to play games, in Augmented Reality (AR), with freaking holograms!
When you slip on the Tilt Five glasses and look at the game board, a vibrant 3D world opens up to you.  Suddenly chasms seem to drop infinitely into your table, and game characters and monsters spring up from the game board.  This is gaming unlike anything you've experienced before.
"When we started designing the Tilt Five system our focus wasn't on the technology for technology's sake.  We wanted to provide an amazing gaming experience that blends the things you love about video games and board games. And we wanted it to be just as fun when playing solo, together with your friends, or even when you're apart."  Jeri Ellsworth, Co-Founder & CEO "

Be interesting to see if this lives up to itself.
