ObsidianCrane
When my work forced me to move I got rid of most of my shame, passing them on to a guy who still plays 40k. Still currently I have a growing pile of unpacked minis stashed in 24 compartment container and sprawling on my painting table, then there is a 24L tub full of Clan Wars and other minis in the shed hidden away.. Then I have a couple of hundred minis due between now and the end of March next year thanks to Sedition Wars, Red Box Games and of course Reaper. Arachne
BTW, thanks. Your name reminded me I needed to paint the eyes on a toy spider that has been staring at me from my worktable of shame since I based him on a poker chip last year. Oh, hello cutie. I like the colors, he realistically looks like one of my favorite pets. I think the thing that contributes to huge Shelves is army painting. I just play D&D, World of Darkness, and Savage Worlds, so I'll buy five at a clip for our party, and maybe a few more that look interesting, then paint them asap so we have something on the table. Or maybe a handful of monsters. The biggest "army" I painted was half dozen of the Bones sword/board dudes.
Voladilk
I have been feeling very Zen the past few days. I am clearing out about 3/4 of my closet of shame due to rationalising what I will realistically actually be able to paint and play with. Took a good look last night and I had no idea the amount of stuff I had in there! Ebay/wargamerau here I come. Hopefully someone else will benefit from my shame. Baphomet69
Hey, if you need an address to send it to, I can provide one. I'll even pay postage. You know, karma and all that. :smirk:
Dr.Bedlam
I just keep thinking about all those Bones. And they're going to come crashing down on my head just in time for Reapercon...
Voladilk
That may also have something to do with my Zen period..........
Sergeant_Crunch
This thread has encouraged to sell off some 6mm sci-fi for a project I don't think I'll ever finish....then use the money to buy a bunch of 1/144th sci-fi.
Baphomet69
Dropzone Commander?
Voladilk
Hey Baphomet, I may take you up on that one......to an extent at least perhaps....anything you are looking for specifically?

No, my understanding is that Dropzone Commander is N-Scale (1:160), same as CAV. I'm looking at Heavy Gear.
Baphomet69
Ah, you are right. I always get mixed up with the scale conversions. Dropzone Commander is indeed 10mm (N Scale). What kind of 6mm sci-fi do you have?
Sergeant_Crunch
Dark Realm Miniatures, mostly humans, but do have some Andrayada as well.
smokingwreckage
I find that occasional blood sacrifice and an elaborate system of ritual etiquette work well. I must not anger the shelf. No-one must anger the shelf. Or, as in this case, small shed.
buglips*the*goblin
A few hundred? It gets that bad? I've only been painting for like two years, maybe. Is this what I have to look forward to? I have 187 WIPs. 50% of these will go to The Table of Defeat, where I admit they're not getting done anytime soon and it's as well to simple green them off. 25% of the remainder will be done within a year. The other 25% have until next year to be promoted to this level, or herded off to TToD. I have more than 700 lurking about in drawers, and under things (not in underthings . . . not yet), and whatnot. And . . . say maybe 200 still in blister? This is, I'll note, after pruning no less than three times and getting rid of at least 150-200 each time. (If you want to know how well that worked, all the sculpts have returned anew - I forgot I'd bought them and gotten rid of them)
