what are you going to do with your kickstarter Bones?

I'm probably gonna recreate the board, doors, and furniture using Hirst Arts molds.

Nice idea. I will have to *tag* this post to remember that.

Looking at the copy of HQ I have, well, it's held up VERY well these 23 years. Only the gargoyle's wing is broken. And that was done over 20 years ago!

Now to work out the stats of the Undead Giant vs. the Heroes. Muahahahaha!

I'm going to paint them all (except my bf's Clockwork Dragon) over time, using some for my own characters, and some for monsters in campaigns. I've also got this crazy idea for the guy with the fro in the zombie hunters set too: either make a hole in his head, or do something similar, get a tiny chocobo-type bird, and place that in his fro. XD

play with them, of course!

Other than that, I'm going to give some to friends, paint all of them that catch my attention and find a rule system to set up skirmish games. Right now, it looks like Unified Game Theory's Vortex system will work best. They have a free download that stats out most of the vampire box set already!

With a few tweeks, it is a pretty good rule system.

Have fun everyone!

The first thing I am going to do is inventory. After inventory, which I anticipate taking forever given 4xVampire and 52 line items, I plan to kick back, relax and build the most ridiculous models I possibly can based on the bones "socket" system.

At the very least I will make a Kaladrax with a double length tail. Which will obviously mean I will also have a Kaladrax with a stub tail. Yes, this is exactly what I will need after inventorying all those minis.

I already have my inventory list printed and ready to go, so that will be first.

Then I will assemble Kaladrax and scare my cat with it! If Kaladrax is somehow deficient, I may cry... then assemble Nethyrmaul instead.

Then I will lay on the floor with my Bones (there is definitely not enough flat space anywhere else to lay them all out) and I will regress a good 20 years or so and play until my mum comes in and asks me why she keeps hearing weird roaring noises emanating from my flat...

I got mine last week, and I'm still flabbergasted. I plan on inventorying them, but I need to set aside a block of time to do it thoroughly. Beyond that, I got them for when I get a chance to play D&D, or any number of other RPGs, again. I hadn't planned on painting them, but maybe, just maybe, I'll give it a try at some point. I've been inspired by a lot of the posts here on the Reaper message boards, especially the ones with all the pointers and advice, so with such guidance, perhaps it won't be a total disaster if I paint some.

I'm still going back and forth, arguing with myself whether I want to keep and break down my second Vampire into its respective parts (more minions for the warehouse of shame) or sell it whole on eBay...argh!

Wow! You know you're a serious collector when you've upgraded your shelf/drawer/table of shame into a whole warehouse!

It's funny - when I bought into this, I told myself there were 10, maybe 20 that I wanted to paint. The rest would be fodder for my 7 year old nephew to grab (instead of all my expensive botique resin). But as I've looked at these more, and painted a few, I'm really starting to warm to these. I could see myself painting (almost) all of them, given enough time.

Ah. Yes. This is known as "The buglips Syndrome"

Initial indifference to, or even possible dislike of, Bones followed by an almost manic compulsion to collect and paint them all.

Additional symptoms include large amounts of forum posting as well as possible ornithological pursuits.
