There's a chance I may not see whatever add-ons get added on Saturday.

If that happens, is it possible to adjust the $$$ amount after the official close, perhaps by PayPal, to account for "dang, I wanted that"?

YUP! The recently announced "Reaper Pledge Manager' (not released yet - it comes out Saturday I'd assume after the KS drive is over) will allow you to make last minute adjustments to your pledge. It will also allow you to trade Sophie on a motorcycle for other stuff!! (they used Sophie as an example and this is the only thing you can change a ReaperByran just pointed out in the big KS thread (page 189 or so)). Check out post #40 on the KS page(and the video) http://www.kickstart...aming-min/posts

Its a great time to be a miniature enthusiast!

I watched the FAQ video, and read the comments under it. It wasn't clear whether or not you could add more $$ to the pledge -- just switch around what you wanted and trade a Sophie for $25 of other stuff. The comment in the video was more about "you should pledge now to unlock more stuff" rather than "you *have* to give us your final tally now".

To clarify, I'm already well into the $$$ range, so adding maybe $$ wouldn't affect the overall total much at this stage.

You will be able to use the PM to add to your pledge. We designed it to account for math errors, but it will have the side effect of allowing, for roughly 30 days, all users to add to their pledged amount.

moneys raised via the PM will not be able to unlock goals, as the drive will be over, but they will enable us to make more things for you as an individual.

We encourage you to pledge what you are able to now, to help the community unlock rewards, but understand if the PM must be used due to timing of finances.

Thank you for the confirmation. Given a couple other project I want to pledge more than I can afford right now so this rocks - as do you all at Repear, clearly! It's rather cool watching the steamroller that is the current KS pledges that just keeps rolling on!

I need to set expectations. This will not be released to the public on Saturday.

Timeline:

Campaign closes.

We breathe for a day or so.

We email you a survey so you can verify your shipping address and email (go ahead and whitelist [email protected] now)

We load your pledge data from Kickstarter into our system.

THEN we email you a link so you can go in and manage the fiddly bits.

Am I giving you a date? No. But it'll be as soon as I can get it live and bug-free.

Adding stuff is a cool idea (and good for the bottom line), but it seems to take some of the urgency off the drive ;P . Love love love the 25% discount!

Having a few extra $K floating around makes things nice, you can't fool me with the claim of "we have to give 4 free minis to 5000 people." lol. Floating around money allows you guys to give an nice ex post facto discount, that also saves you shipping! Win Win!

Love it!

There's also the math error side that necessitated the invention to begin with. If somebody miscalculates, we need them to be able to correct it.

Once that's in place, it's not possible to prevent them from using it to add more stuff, because we don't know if they found $30 worth of errors, or are just adding money because they got another paycheck between now and then.

We do encourage everyone to go in for what they ca, be it $1 or $1,000, as doing so benefits the entire community of backers, and not just themselves.

Re: 4 minis to (what is over7,300 people) is still 292,000 miniatures. That's hardly free. We do need some bread to cover it. I'm sorry you think that very nearly 300,000 miniatures is negligible, but as the manufacturer, it isn't. It's a rather big logistic problem and material invenstment, not to mention labor expense.

As someone trying to juggle affording what I'd like to get in the KS this month is fantastic news indeed! It's great that Reaper are going to allow us to add to the amount to be able to afford more that is on offer. I assume that just as the additional funds added after the event won't unlock new extras, the currently displayed deals on the KS page will all still be available for the same cost through the PM.

I'm assuming that whilst you are giving no set date that the PM will be released before orders start being fulfilled (far as I can tell this would only apply to Sophies (and possibly the game cases) since they are the only models shipping early).

and Paint.

Paint ships in Sept as well.

Good thing too, paint & Sophie are going to save a lot of people's (in my case already limited) sanity waiting for the product to be done. But really, talk about worth the wait. This Kickstarter thing has been a WONDERFUL way to do business. Reaper gets to start a new line without going in for a business loan that they'd have to pay interest on, which saves them money. Which they are clearly passing on to the consumers with hugely cost efficient deals. It also allows via add ons a way to find out which of the bigger/more expensive to produce minis are going to be popular. A much better way than randomly trying to guess if everyone will like the Jabberwock better than the Red Pathfinder dragon etc.

30 days? Oh I hope that's true...Sophie harem, here I come! And what's this discount papercut's on about?

And not to bust your chops Bryan, but you've got an extra zero on there. Either way, 7,400 orders is a crapton, an insubstantial amount of labor...especially since each 4-pack is going to have to be sorted, packaged, and stuffed in the appropriate boxes. Whether it's 30,000 figures or 30,000,000, the logistics are going to be a nightmare and the point still holds.
