Upgrading orders *after* Saturday...

I'm assuming that whilst you are giving no set date that the PM will be released before orders start being fulfilled (far as I can tell this would only apply to Sophies (and possibly the game cases) since they are the only models shipping early).

and Paint.

Paint ships in Sept as well.

I'm not planning on buying any paint myself, I have plenty, but if it would help save Reaper on shipping costs, maybe they should provide a checkbox on the manager that says "send my paint (and Sophie, if they are getting one) together with my Bones shipment in March"...

This is exactly what I would like to do and for the exact same reason. The $100 pledge is nothing compared to what we are getting - if it helps save Reaper some cash I'd just as soon wait until March and get everything (paint, Sophie etc) all at once. Of course shipping being what it is it may actually be cheaper to ship twice as weird as that sounds...

We will by necessity not be able to ship your order until after you fill out your PM. We will work to fulfill orders as fast as possible once that happens.

I really hope everyone has patience after the drive ends. The excitement and anticipation this drive has built is amazing and I'll bet people are going to be super eager to get their stuff. Hopefully everyone stays calm!

Very disappointed in this decision personally. Other KS projects have done the same, and I promise you there are people who will just "wait and see" to pledge in after the drive. The community suffers from the lack of stretch goals, and frankly, so does Reaper. Why should Reaper be offering half-off pricing for 30 more days? If there is a reason, why stop at 30 days... throw Vampire in a sack and put it on store shelves for $100. To folks that need these extra 30 days to get money together, I'm afraid that's the nature of limited duration opportunities. There are certainly people that need 60 days, or maybe next year would be a better time for them, so if we're adding 30 days for you why are they getting "screwed"?

The best advice there is to plan your financial future so you're not living paycheck to paycheck, even if it means squirreling away $1 here and $5 there. Whether you dip into that for some future miniatures deal, or to cover expenses during a sudden loss of income, is of course also entirely your business. But the decision to take any alteration in pledge amounts after the drive closes is a bad choice in my opinion. The kickstarter will still be a smashing success, but the comment threads are already flooding with "So I can just pledge $1 now and decide next month what I want, right?" Easiest fix is to allow the RPM to allow allocation of your pledge, and limit adding PayPal funds to some percentage of the amount pledged to cover the math errors you intended to let them cover.

"If you wait until the project ends we will post a link to our Reaper Pledge Manager web site. You can sign up there. You can also use pay-pal too. I have to warn you though that you may have to pay a bit more because you didn't get involved with the actual pledge drive."

If you keep at least your vampire level pledge you will not have to pay more for options later in our post Kickstarter pledge manager.

In regards to Paying with Paypal after the Kickstarter: "I have to warn you though that you may have to pay a bit more because you didn't get involved with the actual pledge drive."

I have already pledged $453.00 and I have another $60 i'd like to put down towards it but that money is in my Paypal account and I cannot access it for another 3 -4 business days if I choose to put that in with the $453.00 ready and waiting in my bank account. By then the Kickstarter will end. How much more will it cost so I can adjust my additional options accordingly.

Greg surely most of the people who will put serious money into the Kickstarter will pay before the deadline (if they can) to help unlock yet more items - I think here is where Reaper have an advantage over many other Kickstarters who offer post event purchase, because each payment increases the total and increases your reward.

Basically anyone looking to get the Vampire level is going to want to pay before in the kickstarter to increase the chances of getting even more stuff for their money.

Also, for most pledges, provided that the minimum amount is reached (and ergo the project is funded) It won't matter to the developers if extra money comes in from inside or outside of kickstarter so a delay isn't as much of a problem - as long as they make their starting break point to get the KS funding.

If you pledged Vampire/Undertaker: all prices in the PM will be exactly what is shown on the Kickstarter project page.

If your pledge does not include a Vampire or Undertaker pledge (say, you're a Skeleton, or a Liche that did not also get Vampire) then you will be allowed some of the Options, but at a higher price than the Vampire Backers were given. This is to incentivise Vampirism, not to punish you for splitting payments.

We needed the system to cover the math errors. The guy who pledged $5 short because of a miscalculation.

I'd like to suggest that with 2.3 million raised as I type this, and climbing, I do not think this announcement has hurt your chances of hitting future goals as much as one might think. In fact, since announcing it, we've raised an additional $1,000,000.

Alright I pledged Vampire. I'm good.

Thank you!

So, it said in the Frequently-er Asked Questions that we'd later be able to set up paying through Paypal. It also mentioned that we don't actually pay until we get the survey. But Kickstarter says you pay as soon as it's funded. Which is it?

Kickstarter takes your funds when funding ends. This is Kickstarter's policy, and not ours. So be sure you can cover your pledge at that time.

When the survey comes out, additional funds pledged via the RPM, to cover math errors etc. will be charged when you submit.

So both are true.

I apologize if it was misleading, sometimes when you're as close to the project as us it sounds clearer than it came out.

Now Here goes another Question -

Now The Reaper Pledge Manager is coming out sometime soon-ish.

I am wanting to throw at least 300 at reaper now via PayPal - Vampire level and some Options.

How Much will the Options Cost?

BTW - Thank you so much reaper!

I'm displeased how this came across on a re-read, especially for being one of my first posts here. I jumped into defending my position before it was attacked. Sorry about the "To folks..." and "best advice..." nonsense. It must have been a long day. :-/ I'm still an advocate for running a KS campaign with a stated "pledge now or you may never get a chance to" policy. Then when it's all over, graciously allow for some limited "correction" to pledges (+/- $25) to cover math errors, and after that it's retail pricing and full profit for Reaper. Despite the $3.4m raised, I think as much as a few hundred thousand was probably left on the table by openly acknowledging a 30+ day window for people to come back later and jump on. But as Bryan said, that probably didn't amount to much in terms of missed stretch goals. It's pretty obvious there wasn't much room to add more freebies in Vampire, and adding options was a financial risk for Reaper with minimum orders. Looking forward to the Bone 2013 campaign!

Sod all to do with gaming, but I know we've got cat people with their own voids at home; and some of you might be into pins and need a Void of Blep of your own.
Or.. heck, I'unno. Maybe you need void stickers or something.

      Greetings all,
This is Ed Pugh making this post~
This weekend, I sat down and read several weeks’ worth of posts. (I would like to call out Andrew Miller and his post made to the tune of John Lennon’s song “Imagine”. Fun stuff!)
I would like to thank ALL of the people making comments here. I especially focused on comments made by upset backers. Your comments are helpful, and this is how we learn. We might not be able to fix everyone’s problems at this time, but they will all be addressed in future planning discussions.

Now down to business. I’m making this post because I realized last night that in the rush to get everything going, no one was assigned to monitor the KS comments. In the past, that duty fell on the shoulders of Matt Clark, but he retired last year. That’s on us and we will have someone dedicated to poking their head in here.

UPDATES: “Official” updates occur twice a month on the KS Updates Section. Everything that is important is in these updates.
We will also answer questions, show pictures, promote, and discuss the KS on all our social media platforms. Because a lot can occur during the two-week intervals between Official Updates, many pictures, discussions, and information not contained in the prior Official Update will show up on these social media sites.
In the end, if ALL you read are the Official Updates you will receive more than enough information to be up to date.
While this is not an official update, I’m going to shed some light on a few things.

      1) What should I do about defects, missing parts, or missing order items?
Send an email to our customer service department at [email protected] Our team will take care of you.

      2) UPS just sent me a notification that my order is going to my old address. What should I do?
Go to UPS MyChoice and redirect it https://www.ups.com/us/en/services/tracking/mychoice.page?

      3) What are the EU and UK start dates?
We are confirming AU is still July 5th. The UK has their container and is getting ready, but no hard date at this moment. We will have one next week.

      4) Where is the last container for the US Warehouse?
The last container is still stuck in Los Angeles.
We are working each day to break this log jam. I hope for word on Tuesday when everyone returns back to work.

      5) Why are some Waves going back and forth?
Shipments are combined and stacked in the order pulling queue. They are then printed in batches. “Wave hopping” sometimes does occur. Simple examples that can cause this are the picker/puller grabs a pull ticket from the wrong stack or from the back of the stack (printed pull tickets are stacked in a tray on their sides). We try our best. The good news is that we are usually done pulling in a few weeks.

      6) Why is Canadian shipping different this time?
We have used UPS to get shipments into Canada every KS except KS1. UPS prepares shipping options based on the data for Canada. Location, package count, sizes, weights etc. They in turn present the options to us. We will generally choose the cheapest option that still balances service with price.
In the past it was cheaper for us to use the service in which we imported the packages to ourselves as a non-resident importer. This option required Reaper to pay the 5% GST as the importer. We were unable to collect or bill backers for the 5% GST we paid as we are not registered with Canada to collect anything. In summary, it was cheaper for us to pay the GST to send your package.
I do not know what changed between Canada and the USA, but this time the service we used in the past was substantially more expensive than direct service. Direct service is a better option and came with better tracking and UPSMyChoice. There are NO duties on US products. In the end, you are paying your local sales tax and GST and an entry fee based on the size of your order.

I want to thank everyone for their participation and support of the Kickstarter. Please continue to post your comments. They do all get read. Please stay safe~
