Pathfinder Goblin Pyro

Recommended Posts

http://www.coolminiornot.com/312880?browseid=2578961

Guess who decided to start painting again! Yea, it was me. What do you think I did well, what do you think I could do better?

I known one thing I could do better...Remember to thin my sealer. It caked into some fine detail spots and really irked myself at myself... Granted without direct contact light, and knowing where to look you probably wouldn't notice it on the table, but gosh darnit it matters to me!

Nice job! I would dirty/bloody up his dog slicer a little. Goblins shouldn't ave a weapon that nice looking.

What's a good way to dirty up a blade, or even add a rust effect, or both?

I like the coloring on the goblin. The torch is so bright, my eyes keep refocusing over there. Also love the base, though with the shape of the rock at the moment, it looks like he's guarding an egg. hehe

Maybe try a pigment powder to rust it. pretty easy and random makes them look more natural.

Thorn, have a look over at Antenociti's workshop.

In modelling terms, they might be called "weathering powder". GW, Vallejo, Tamiya, Kromlech, all produce and sell weathering powders. YOu can search youtube for videos of its usage.
