Maybe she is scratching her knee. Same way you might get itchy if you see bugs (I just get hungry). Maybe little people creep her out.

Imagine if you were hanging out at your house and then suddenly a bunch of people 1/3 your size, armed to the teeth, came along and started chatting. Creeepyyy!

Now I'm itchy.

Storm Giants have violet color, but I think the blue color is better.

Only the rare ones in early editions. Most are green.

I gotta say, the green just doesn't look right to me. It doesn't fit thematically. I like storm giants in the color of lightning flashes... a blue/violet shade. And for cloud giants, I like the milky, almost transparent looking blue. YMMV

I checked the different books (only the MC1 ones) I have and it is correct, most storm giants are green, only few are violet and it seems they where descending over the different editions:

D&D: They have bronze-colored skin and bright red or yellow hair

AdvancedD&D: pale light green to violet

AD&D 2nd: pal light green or (rarely) violet

D&D 3rd: light green skin ... very rarely,... have violet skin

D&D 4th: don't even think about a description, hey its a giant, kill it, don't need to know more (a picture storm giants shows them bluish)

D20 SRD: Very rarely, storm giants have violet skin. Violet-skinned storm giants have deep violet or blue-black hair with silvery gray or purple eyes.

my first source from D20 SRD, didn't check other SRD versions, I didn't read very rarely... AND checking it again, they forgot to tell about standard green color. :-)

Pathfinder: bronze skin... rare have violet skin

Pathfinder SRD: ...have dark hair and humanlike skin tones, usually tan tending to a deep burnished bronze. However, some ancient marine storm giant families have skin of pale blue or sea-foam green. Rarely, storm giants are born with lavender to violet skin, lustrous purple or blue-black hair, and eyes of silver or amethyst.

I like the idea of a bronze skin color, but still would prefer blue or green (because bronze patina is little greenish).

Stunning concept art.

Stunning sculpt.

Stunning paintjob.

I'm stunned.

;)

yes, yes, yes, yes...

Umm, paint recipe... Good question. I really just tossed it together after researching what a cloud giant would look like. Yes, cloud giant. From what I can recall, I basecoated with Solid Blue (29816). I started mixing in various levels of Rosy Skin (09068) and Ashen Blue (09057) for a mid tone color (only using a tiny bit of Rosy Skin as it added a bit of warmth to an otherwise cool color). Using the same mid tone, I started adding in an increasing amount of Ghost White (09063) for highlights. Finally I used Pure White (09039) for the highest points of highlight.

That sounds about right. Does that help?

I have a feeling sales for those 4 colors will be higher than normal in the short term. :poke:

Great, Martin! The Rosy Skin works well to make her look like a living blue-skinned creature, not just a blue statue. The more saturated blues and the golds harmonize nicely.

Now, is that her natural lip color or is she wearing cosmetics? How much do giant-sized lipstick and mascara weigh, anyway? :;):

I look forward to seeing this one in person.

Frorigh is solid metal (the expensive kind, too, not the P-65) and if you compare the "bryangles" on the right showing the height of him to Yephima he's clearly taller and bulkier. He's a BIG fella, I've seen him in person.

My gosh Frorigh is spensive now, I think I paid $12 each for the ones that I bought a while ago, maybe a decade or two...

That Guy, how do you do the decoration on her lloincloth, decals? pens? electron microscope?
