Not sure how many people saw the article but I scoured the forum and didn't see anything posted about it so here you go if you missed it. I'm just going to post the link (hopefully) so you can head there yourself and save some space here. It's a great, albeit short, piece about the impact Reaper's KS is having on the RPG industry and what it says for the future of the gaming market. Great job guys!! http://www.wired.com/design/2012/08/reaper-miniatures-bones-kickstarter-success/

What About Bob posted it in the KS discussion thread

Another Wired News article.

This one is a bit of a Post Mortem as they give Bones the "Kickstarter of the Week" award and talk a bit with Ed.

Good article though. Interesting to note that all but 2 of the top KS projects were gaming related (Neil Gaiman;s wife's music thingie, and the fancy watches. The Order of the Stick thing was technically comics, but it;s a D&D comic, so still gaming IMO)

And the iPhone dock makes 3.

I think the main advantage of the gaming ones though is how little lead time they take compared to other similar projects that produce a consumer good. If I recall correctly, Reaper spent about a month in preparation for this Kickstarter. I'm guessing ones like the Pebble watch take a lot longer. I'm betting that with the higher funding rates, we'll be getting a lot more interesting non-gaming ones in the future.

Last of this month's work. I know said was gonna take a break for the holidays but got bored. While scrounging around my loose mini's I came across her, don't know what happened to the wraiths but decieded to paint her alone....hehe no choice without the wraiths. She always reminded me of someone and wanted no needed to due her as such as i could, so without further ado....

      ....A.K.A. "the Scarlet Witch"

I wanted her to be at least more sinster looking thinking about going back and giving her a purple eye shadow maybe that will help with the over all look of the face.

Last of this month's work. I know said was gonna take a break for the holidays but got bored. When i first got her i noticed she was so danity, so skinny it felt like I was painting a 25mm.
What I planned to be an easy paint job turned into any but.

Presenting my first finished Bones V Kickstarter mini, the mighty Hercules!

I don't get much painting time these days, so he's a little rough and rushed in places, but he's done and he doesn't look too bad.

As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
