Hi Phil, Your Demon already looks good.

Here’s some suggestions I think could help. First you can try to remove that mould line from the right side of its face. A darker shading could enhance the fact it’s a shadow being. Then, you can add more highlights on the top surfaces only, maybe a dark blue tone, like if the moon was casting some light through the clouds.

What was your intention with the base? Do you want to make it look like a snow or more like a stone? I don’t recognise the white product you used.

Good continuation and don’t hesitate to ask questions.

Take a look at this (or if you have the film watch the scene there)

The monsters are hard to catch on screen in this clip (in the movie there is a good opportunity right at the end of the scene) but they really give the idea of how to light a shadow monster.

In essence more black in the shadows, wash over all your drybrushing to shave the highlight down.

Thanks to both of you for the good advices and the video...i'll try to make it look more like a shadow...The is also related to the fact that the pictures were over exposed. My shadow demon is painted with dark elf skin, a dark blue wash and a black wash...without all this light it looks pretty dark...I add the dry brushing yesterday because I wanted more definition on the beast...It might be a little to much...I'll see...

I'ts GF9 snow but I'm not please with the result...this product look's like white sand instead of snow...there is no volume to it I want it more fluffy if you know what I mean...but I don't know what people are using to make snow look so good, exemple (Painted by Spaztica):

Personally I use white glue and the GF9 snow...Any advice on snow for basing !?!
