Hmmm. I love these mini concepts! Not sure what I'll do for the KS, though...the $55 level rounds the minis out to be about $13 each, plus $3 for the postcards...even if you assume $10 for the postcards, the minis are still $11 and change apiece...but they're definitely concepts I'd pay that, and even a little more, at retail. Dusty and the Girl, especially.

At the $100 level, per-mini, it's about the same. The $120 level is where it really takes off, value-per-mini-wise.

Patrick, can you tell us: For the $140 and $150 levels, are there more silhouettes that remain unrevealed? As it stands, a backer can't avoid doubles or triples at these levels. I understand if you can't tell us, but it'd be useful info for planning.

Reaper Bones have destroyed my sense of appropriate price-per-miniature. I haven't bought a single model lately, and on several occasions it was purely based on a vague sense that I was getting suckered on price. This KS looks good enough that it might draw me out... but woe to any "normal" miniatures company that keeps trying to sell me $8 miniatures. Reaper, what have you wrought?!

I guess I'm in the minority on this forum because I still buy $20 miniatures. If it's an awesome sculpt price useally isn't a factor for me.

I still buy $40 miniatures I never get around to painting.

But price per mini isn't the point. Vicky did all the number crunching on the backer levels and it takes stuff into account that a lot of people have been overlooking- like shipping all that stuff for example. Printing 40lbs of postcards and shiping them to us plus all of the other invisible expenses have to be accounted for on a per model release basis.

In Reaper's case they had the luxury of pulling figures from an existing catalog where the initial production costs of each model were somewhat absorbed by the previous metal sales.

We in the Bomb Lab have been squeezing our noodles to figure a way to provide plenty of options for the top level backer rewards. All of the artists are contributing to this project on short notice and it's taking a bit to get some final art in. Be assured we will reveal more and more options as the project progresses. Lots of you have expressed interest in specific kinds of pieces we already have in the works for concepts, so I think we're on the right track.

Betty & Shrapnel are getting close to their goal amount and we'll be having another big update with more cool stuff soon!

All good news!

I hadn't noticed the bit about trading tshirts...thanks for pointing it out, paedia.

Patrick, thanks for the update. I don't want to sound like I think your KS is bad value, because your sculpts are fantastic (just saw the Storm Giantess! whooooee!) and the concepts are lovely, but I still wanted to do the breakdown from the consumer end. Sorry if my first post seemed like a downer--that's not my intent at all.

I'm happy to pay ~$20 or more for good minis of this size, so I think you're on the right track. Can't wait to see what else comes out of this KS!

Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time deciding how to support this kickstarter, and I do and I will support it. Because of the way the goals are arranged I'm not sure I want to support at the upper level that I intended because then I'll just have to fill in with duplicates rather than new sculpts if we don't hit the goals. Something of a catch 22 but I certainly understand that other expenses do have to be covered.

I hopped in full throttle for this one. I have all faith that we will get 12 unique mini's to fill out a Napalm pledge. In the event we don't, I will have a few extras to paint a few years down the line to see how they improve. Win/win for me!

After that last update, I do to!

(have faith we'll see lots more variety, that is)

Loves me that Vivian Gale concept! This update has me in at least at the Bomb Kit level...just need to convince the wife it's a good plan...she totally wants to paint Meagan...and probably Dusty...so this is good.

17 when you trade the T-shirt in as well. :)

I also have faith that we will see all 17 options if the current trend continues, in fact we'll probably have to up our pledges if we expect to get all the base options for the pledge. Right now its not quite a stretch goal a day. We have 5 options revealed now, so even at 1 stretch every 2 days you will need maybe 3 doubles, and the reality is that most of the KS funding will happen in the last 6 days (based on normal trends). This means that the current high prediction of kicktraq is totally achievable; and I'm pretty sure you will be swimming in loot by then as well.

Already we are on track for 2 extra models plus a base insert for all backers with a Bomb Kit. So not only will you get the 17 options you need to fill a Napalm pledge you will also get more than that bringing the cost of the individual models down even further.

Much like with the Reaper KS the more you pledge now the more cool stuff we see. The more cool stuff we see the more other people will pledge. The more others pledge the more cool stuff everyone gets. Its the basic rule of KS. :)
