Warhammer Quest Dwarf

Recommended Posts

I am very new to painting still. I have been trying to learn, but I have only worked on a half dozen or so minis so far and I don't know if I would call any of them done. I have probably worked on this one longer than any of the others so far. He isn't done, but I thought that I would share in hopes of critique. He is plastic and I have been using Warhammer paints. Also, I primed him with the bottled primer from Warhammer and washed most of him with Nuln Oil or Seraphim Sepia. His cape is my first attempt at hightlighting. I am not sure what color to go with for the beads in his beard yet and I am not very happy with the leather color for the belt and the pouch.

Looking good there! The highlights on the cloak are very effective. Do you have a brighter silver to drybrush some highlights onto his weapon and helm?

Also consider lightening the brown a little and very lightly drybrushing his beard. It doesn't have to be much lighter at all.

Thanks for the comments. My plans for what to do next include:

paint the axe handle

highlight the axe/helm

highlight the beard

figure something out about the leather color

pick a color for the beads and maybe gloves (blue?)
