Leech
The section cloning thing has been fixed already, as I found out while phoning Stuart from the curb at DFW airport on Monday. And the printing thing is by design, but Stuart is gonna do something with that too :o) Otherwise, CAV-RC rocked the house, and nearly toppled a Rhino in defensive fire :o)
Erion
The more I hear you guys talk about this, the more I want to nag for a copy. But I'll behave.
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted May 19, 2004 Author Moderator Share Posted May 19, 2004 We're working on it. Frank and I had a meeting about it with Ed and Matt at Reapercon, and I am quite optimistic.
Leech
Yeah, and my own regular phone conversations with Stuart make me even more optimistic. Don't worry Erion, you can bet the farm on the fact that we (Frosch, Stuart and myself) will be making a big deal outta CAV-RC's release when it finally happens. It's definately got the Frank Seal of Approval, and it will even come in packaging which will be made of drool-proof material.... amazingly such a substance does exist :o)
Erion
So you're actually looking at a retail product? If so, that's very cool for you fellas. I'm glad your hard work will have the potential to pay off beyond job satisfaction (not that job satsifaction isn't good, too).
Leech
Oh heck yes Erion.... no point chaining Stuart to a chain and making him program for 14 hours a day if we don't get paid :o) I'm not fussed personally, but all I did was write some data files and use the thing to write rosters.... Stuart has put in the lion share of the effort since he's writing it and Frosch has done a lot to make sure it's stable.
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted July 11, 2004 Author Moderator Share Posted July 11, 2004 Ai yi yi, after innumerable delays and gennerally Aargh :P we can expect a public release sometime this week. We basically need to strip out the "This is beta" stuff.
Crusoe the Painter
If it was C#.net or VB.net, then us Linuxers and Mac folks could run it too... :) ( I reccomend C#, as the mono clone of VB is still somewhat beta )
