TheAuldGrump
One side of the rib cage could, and possibly should, be part of the same piece that includes the spine. Ribs are relatively easy, now hip joints on the other hand.... The Auld Grump, I still have the very old Grenadier Masterpiece model of a skeletal dragon with a wizard rider.

Panzer_Engel
That's actually not a bad sculpt, although I'd be tempted to try and detail up the vertebrae.
Moderator Darsc Zacal Posted October 30, 2012 Moderator Share Posted October 30, 2012 The Auld Grump, I still have the very old Grenadier Masterpiece model of a skeletal dragon with a wizard rider. I have that mini too. Still in pieces in its original box from when I bought it new back in the early '80's. Still waiting to be assembled... I'll get to it one of these days. Does that make me The Auld Darsc Zacal? ;)
TheAuldGrump
You mean like this? http://www.paintingm...games.com/?p=45 Nope! That's the RAFM Necrodrake - and one of their best sculpts. The painter also added a rider. The RAFM figure is still in production, and has a decent price if I recall correctly. The one I was talking about is this one - I have that RAFM dragon too - adding the Reaper Bones dead dragons will bring my numbers to, let's see: 1 big undead dragon by Grenadier 1 smaller skeletal dragon by Grenadier 1 smaller zombie dragon by Grenadier 1 small zombie dragon by Ral Partha (and how I wish that I had gotten their two larger undead dragons) 1 smallish ghost dragon by Ral Partha 1 RAFM Necro Drake 1 smaller undead dragon by RAFM 1 ghost dragon by RAFM 1 Kaladrax by Reaper (working on him - I am curling him around a tower) 1 small undead dragon by Reaper 1 really big skeletal dragon by MacFarlane Toys And the 2 forthcoming Bones. TheAuldGrump
Oh, those are nice..... Back when I was a Young Grump I thought that Legos (and all the spinoffs and copies thereof) were the coolest toys in the world. Nothing has happened to change that opinion.... The Auld Grump I'm glad that there are others out there with an unhealthy attraction to the dead/rotting side of minis. Easily one of my favorite sculpts of all time is the Forge World Greater Daemon of Nurgle. That's one of the reason's I'm so excited about the two undead sculpts Reaper is doing!! I carefully weighed all of the minis being offered in the Bones KS, and while I wasn't thrilled with some of them, the overwhelming majority were exceptional. The joy of getting such great sculpts is only tempered with the unease and dread resultant from getting a box of ~250 unpainted minis! Even under the best of circumstances, that shipment will take five years to fully paint.

I expect my unpainted bones collection to last well into the next century.

Qwijoma
Here is my delayed pic of the offcial Cthulhu sculpt. It was made by Inteleg in 1994. Sculpted by John Dennet. I still have box and instructions. Used a cultist mini so you could see scale. Need to do some more cleaning and get some 2 part epoxy to assemble. I like this version alot more than the Horrorclix one I have seen or the weird action figure one (though I would like the Dagon they made). I think the Reaper sculpt is closer to this. Notice this one also has a little pot belly as well.

He popped up on the Lead Adventure forums a few years ago under the nom de interweb Moondevil. Working in the toy industry now. You can sometimes get the kit for about $50 on eBay.
