Now that is nice! ::D:

And for some reason, I want to pose my second plastic Kaladrax so that somebody is scritching it under the chin....

I am more than just satisfied by this - the original Kaladrax is just fine, the pose is not all that dynamic, but the metal has enough flex that a great deal can be done to customize it - I am waiting for the model tomb that I am going to pose mine around. It is my favorite of the undead dragons that I have. But this new version is even better. I like it when I am satisfied with the original and the new version is even better - it makes me happy.

I just so happens that the new sculpt for Hyrekia (Kaladrax's assistant) is in a pose that would make that very, very easy to do. ;)

Cool.

Little harder to get the full impression just due to it being not a complete shot of the whole thing, but it survived the translation from concept art relatively unchanged, to my mind. The only major changes I can see is his wings seem much less tattered, his horns got smaller and stumpier, and his chest behind the ribs is filled in.

Would it be correct to guess he (unlike the others we've seen) is still having finishing touches applied? I can see some indicators, such as for example one of his ribs below his shoulder is visible as a thin strip that isnt connected to the filled-in bulk behind it.

While it diverged from the concept art, I expected and hoped for some thickening of the fig to counteract the flexibility of bones plastic.

The vertebrata and tail look like real bones, quite similar to some small animal bones I got from the Czimers's brick and mortar store. Similar enough that I am wondering if the sculptor took some shortcuts by using all natural materials. Will greenstuff adhere to animal bone?

Shame the inner torso and neck are so filled in between the ribs.

Wing bones were made thicker.

Tail bones are much thicker than the concept.

While the difference from the concept seems minor, even the small difference would lead to some very cramped muscle groups.

Tail seems to be much longer than the concept, which showed the tail trailing in the back, with detail close up in the front of the illo. It looks like the sculptor decided the imagery of the tail coiling around to the front of the mini was too powerful to pass up.

The wing bone is looking bulky due to the camera perspective. Wide angle closeups lead to all sorts of weird distortion.

You traced the tail wrong in the concept art. You seem to be confusing the tip of the woman's staff for the tip of the dragon's tail.

Soooo lovely. I'd wanted Kaladrax from the concept art and kicked myself many times for not adding it to my order. "But you're not in a gaming group and like you need another display item that sits and gathers dust." I said. "Be fiscally responsible." I said. Looks like I'll have to jeer at my fiscally responsible brain about how much less fiscally responsible it was when I buy it later sometime at a higher price. :B (Can't add it to my order right now, sadly.)
