Otherworld Indiegogo Campaign

The thing that has caused him the most problems though is not communicating.

Burying your head in the sand won't make the problem go away, and it will make those who were excited irritated, then move on to angry.

If he'd just said - hey, its more expensive than I realized to ship, I will ship all of them but its going to take me time to raise the money but if you want yours faster send postage (my assumption of what went wrong - I'm just guessing) then I'm guessing a lot of us would have sent him postage.

Hail, all!

Despite this being my first post in this forum, I have been active since the Otherworld Indiegogo Dungeon Adventurer campaign began in the two more obvious forums.

I received an email from Richard stating that he was going to mail my DAB3/4 and remaining bonus materials to me on Friday (yesterday).  This, however, came after I suggested that folks migrate over to the Otherworld Miniatures Forum to communicate, as Indiegogo does not allow you to privately message other Funders/Backers unless they've supported a project of yours or vice versa (as in a project YOU started).

I have been attempting to gather data on the various Backers' fulfillment status.  So far, I have collected 39 data points from the population of 241 over the last three or four days.  If any of you would like to contribute to that simple survey (have you received SOME, NONE, or ALL rewards?), I would appreciate it.  I suppose including your Otherworld Forum screen name (if you have one) might also be useful.

What good can come of collecting this data?  I'm not sure.  But I'd rather know what's going on than not know.  That is all.

Thank you for your information.

If you are interested in the now 42 data points that I have collected, send me a private message and I will share the calculated results of my investigative survey with you (with the understanding that you won't re-post it or quote specific figures to others for the time being).

Again, thanks for your responses and, for what it's worth, I hope Richard is soon ready, willing, and able to fulfill this roller coaster of a crowdfunding project in an expedient, congenial, and mutually beneficial manner.   ::):

It`s worth mentioning that whilst I only have half the figures, I was born with devilishly good looks, a winning smile and the body of a Greek God. I like to think things have been evened out

Hey, with that intoxicating charm, those sparkling white teeth, and that unearthly body crafted to divine perfection for both love-making and war, I honestly don't think you even deserve to have DAB 1 and 2 in your possession.

FYI, I just got the balance of my miniatures in the mail today (well, minus two miniatures that I added onto the order and asked to be combined with the delivery about 16 months ago, but you can't have everything, can you?).

I'd hold out hope that more packages are in the mail, if you're still waiting; lots of folks have been sounding off that they've received their goods in the last week or two.

Have to admit I'm very concerned that there are backers who have now received a second shipment of the balance of their orders when the last update from over a month ago stated that backers who had received NOTHING would be prioritized by having their complete orders shipped before any others.

I guess Otherworld must be waiting for all that BarrowWhatsit money to come in so they can ship out what they owe to their original backers.

I can confirm that I received the 2nd half of my goods during a period of time that I assumed empty-handed folks would have gotten their stuff prioritized.  That said, I did start making inquiries that might have registered on Richard's radar and gotten preferential treatment (just as likely as I may have not).

Perhaps more interestingly, if you examine the Indiegogo project page, you may find that it is no more.  In fact, my backer history has the project omitted and I can't even tell what level I backed Richard's project at (let alone that I backed it or it existed at all!).  With any luck, this will have been rectified by the time you read this post.  [:\]

This is the 22nd project my wife and I have worked side by side together on. Posted tbis on Facebook but first time adding our project to the forums. I hope you like our Interpretation of the KS  Mammoth not sure if the is a SKU for it. C&C more than welcome. Felt with it being a mammoth a more wintery theme should be more in keeping. Enjoy. Stay safe in these troubled times.

I know there are a few folks that do Bolt Action and similar 28mm wargaming (@buglips), so I thought I'd bounce this out there.

      https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tftb/world-war-ii-soviet-railroad?ref=discovery_recommendations

      Story
Railroads are an important means to transport troops, equipment, ammunition and all other kinds of supply to the front. Especially in a country as vast as the Soviet Union with it's endless steppes, only few reliable roads and no major rivers running in the direction of the German advance during Operation Barbarossa in World War II.
With this set of detailed buildings and rolling stock in 1/56 scale for 28mm figures you get the opportunity to recreate the crucial fighting around the Soviet railroad system.
The kits focus on the major pieces of rolling stock available to the Soviet defenders: box cars, gondola cars and flat cars. And the mighty ALCo RSD-1 Diesel Engine which was made available under the US Lend-Lease Act.
Also included is a typical rural train station with optional additional platforms for all who want to depict a Soviet - or captured German - supply depot, where heavy equipment like tanks and guns are being unloaded.
And for all of you looking for an armored train - don't worry! We have you covered.
        Talking about railroad tracks:
We did not see the need to reinvent the wheel, so all kits are designed to be used with
4Ground Railroad Tracks (available as add-ons to the Kickstarter) or O Gauge Model Railroad Tracks The kits include optional parts enabling you to choose your favorite system while assembling. Going this route has allowed us to concentrate on designing and producing the rolling stock only, which has the advantage of an earlier fulfillment date for the Kickstarter.
All models are highly detailed on the outside and inside. The interiors are easily accessible, as roofs are removable. In addition, all doors are moveable, which means you can open or close them during gameplay.

A Viking Girl sculpted by Bobby Jackson. She was a lot of fun to paint since she had a lot of canvas for freehand work. She is also my first serious effort at NMM, so that's a well I plan to return to.

I came to paint her when I asked my friends which model needed to get some love next. I presented a wizard, a ranger, and an armored lady fighter. One chimes in that she'd like to see the fighter (she being a practitioner of HEMA). Her boyfriend mentions something about boob armor. I said, no, she's got pretty normal armor. You want to see something egregious? THIS is egregious. My HEMA friend immediately says, "I'd like to change my vote." So here we are.

Here's the WIP thread for her. Here's my next piece.

This has sod all to do with miniatures, but I would be surprised if there were not people who might want one of these pins, for literally any reason at all.
I'll let the campaign speak for itself, as I usually do; it is pins. There are, as the title implies, representations for most of the common faiths, in a literal rainbow of ... well, Pride rainbows.

"You take your game seriously. Now it's time for a serious screen.
In October of 2018, Dog Might released the first fully sculpted GM Screen, the Valhalla Screen. Since then, we have released over 30 more designs, including officially licensed screens for: Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, and Vampire: The Masquerade. We have also designed screens for you favorite shows, such as Relics and Rarities and the Critical Role stream of Undeadwood. Over the last year and a half, our Valhalla Screens have proven to be our most sought after product. "

... Would it surprise anybody here to know I want one?
If I can't have one, at least I can spread the word. ;p
