Girot
I've noticed that I'm not the only one who's suddenly starting painting his butt off in anticipation of the March Bone-nami. What say we keep a running scoreboard of what/how much we paint between the close of the KS and when the boxes start showing up this spring? Here are the rule: 1) Only models/miniatures you've completed between August 25, 2012 and the arrival of our orders next spring. 2) The first person to post a pick of their shipment will end the race. 3) Since most of us collect more than just Reaper anything fully painted (and preferably based) should be acceptable, though Reaper products would be the most appropriate. 4) A running list of your work is just fine. If you can/want to post pictures I certainly don't mind but I'm sure the Reaper Server Gnomes would appreciate it if you tried to keep the volume and size of your pictures at reasonable levels. 5) This is all in good fun and meant to encourage us all to keep up the good work. I realize some of us enjoy competition but lets try and play nice. If participation is good I may spring for an online gift certificate as a prize for the most productive painter among us, say $25? EDIT: The prize thing isn't really gonna work out as trying to make this "fair" is only going to complicate things and discourage participation. I guess the proverbial carrot in this case is gonna have to be bragging rights. UNLESS we can convince Reaper Bryan to get a "Bonenami" forum badge made for this...? :D

recruittons
holy crap! I need to get painting! To put it in perspective, I've only JUST began painting, so many of my ravenloft figures (my first painted minis ever) are sloppy and not very well done. The rat swarms are little more than paint slapped down onto the mini with a little dry-brushing and a dip.

Adrift
I love your idea, but we run into the problem of different painters taking varying amounts of time to complete their work, different levels of experience, and quality. Cookjimjr can bang out an amazing paint job in 4 hours, it'd take me longer to do that level of work. Also, in my case, I'm doing lots of conversions now, adding green stuff. *None of the message above is meant to sound snarky, debasing to the paintwork of others, or in any way elitist. I really, really, really hate that type of snobbery in this hobby. I can say that since the KS, I've completed the following: 03233: Townsfolk: children (5 minis) 14371: Saori, Shadow Sister 14464: Dwarf Kneebreaker 14461: Maladorn, fire demon (green stuff base) 14552: Sylph 02218: Abraxus, Dire Dead (green stuff base) 77008: Male human warrior 77006: Purple Worm (green stuff base & mini) So roughly 12 minis, and I'm working through: 14436: Rahl, Duke of Pain

I do this for fun and for the passion of the hobby as a break from the reality of my job and what not. No need for added pressure.

Adrift
At the start of the KS, I had 58 unpainted miniatures existing in various states of assembly all asking me when I was going to pick up a brush. Since the conclusion of the KS I have painted down to 46 minis and feel really good about my progress. My goal is 1 per week till the rest arrive. I've de-prioritized a few minis among the 46 which are DnD Chainmail figs, 4 privateer press figs, and 2 malifaux figures.
badocter
I am having a hard time remembering which figs I did during the KS as opposed to after the KS. I did not find out about KS until mid August, so I'll start the list there: bones minotaur bones bugbear reaper medusa reaper Indian shaman LOTR Gollum 15 figures from the megaminis King's Court collection that I have had sitting around since Christmas. bones bugbear, modded (september) --- Current total 21 with another 2 works in progress that may be completed tonight. A few of the completed ones shown below:

badocter
Badoctor, are those 'dipped'? All of them were base coated and then finished with Army Painter Quickshade. The bugbear on the left was brushed on quickshade dark (with a very cheap brush from Hobby Lobby, pack of 30 for $2), and the remainder of the figures were dipped and shook with quickshade strong. A number of folks have suggested I dullcoat them to take out the shine, however the shine does not bother me.
CashWiley
Since I'm still painting the one guy I started just before your start date...I should have maybe 6 or 7 painted at this pace. Or less :)
