The whole KS is a super-sweet deal. It was attractive when it first opened; by the end it was causing overrun errors in my value-for-money routines and I had to be physically restrained from selling my car and buying more Vampire levels as an "investment". Apparently I was gibbering about ROI and how "I can't possibly lose". I don't really remember much apart from my wife walking towards me with a grim look and a large plank of scrap timber.

When I woke up my head was bleeding and the pledge manager said my options were "locked in". My wife tells me I fell over and accidentally smacked my face on the doorframe eight times.

This is how I see it. We were offered a deal and we took it. Later when Reaper were forced to change that deal they offered to reverse the pledge. We have lost nothing in this. Nothing. Just take a step back, evaluate the new deal you are being offered and make a decision. Keep your money (lose nothing) or accept the new deal.

I can't believe nobody replied to this with: I am altering the deal. Pray I don't alter it any further

@Reaper forums - I am disappoint.

It was posted during the middle of the night. When most of us in the States were asleep. The international community dropped the ball on that one jokemeister. And now that it's 7:20 am on the east coast and we're waking up there's no point in commenting on it since you already did. :poke:

Wow, accidentally struck your head 8 times? You are a clumsy fellow. You're lucky to have such a good wife who is (mysteriously and for no nefarious reason at all) standing there to pick you up when you awake. I'd have been getting the camera to take pics if that had happened to my husband.

I suggested that. She seemed quite hostile to the idea of photos, for some reason.

Has anyone considered, rather than not communicating fast enough, that our responses have been as fast as we were made aware of problems by our suppliers? For example: Last week we only knew there was a problem when the expected shipment failed to arrive? So we posted news of delays , but no specifics, then? and then yesterday they communicated to us a new delivery time, based on our panicked inquiries? And so we came up with a new plan, and communicated it as soon as we had it ready?

No - clearly we're the big evil mega-corp messing with your heads for the funof it, and coordinating the efforts of box suppliers, our supplier in China's needs, bottles, cases, foam trays, labels, blister packaging, creating new packaging for the larger models, and coordinating with UPS for bulk shipping accounts doesn't enter into it. :grr:

AHA!!! I KNEW IT!!! I'm reposting this to every forum in existence (and several that have yet to exist) as PROOF, proof I say, of the evilness of Reaper. I mean even their name makes you think they're out to get you!

Hmmm, and here I had been holding to the engineering truism that the bigger the project the more chances Murphy gets to screw things up....

Folks - Reaper is BIG in a very small industry. They are not Games Workshop with its legions of dedicated stores. And Reaper has just undertaken what is almost certainly the biggest project since they have opened their doors.

Murphy is sharpening his monkey wrench.

Given the numbers I do not expect this to be the last thing to go wrong

go wrong

go wrong

go *Whack*

I do not expect this to be the last area in which they experience difficulties.

I think the Chinese have abducted Bryan and replaced him with a flesh-suit wearing Chinese dude. Kind of like Whisperer in the Darkness.

Well, flesh-suit Bryan, I'M NOT BUYING THE HYPE! You are just trying to steal everyone's brains for your space brain collection.

Oh, Bryan, be of good cheer. Not everyone knows how small and boutique Reaper is. I daresay outside of the US it sometimes looks like everything here is a megacorp. Frankly, what Reaper does given its size is pretty amazing.

I think most people are taking the news pretty well, and that you folks have been pretty good about organizing this.

I imagine things at the House of Reaper are going to be crazy for a while yet. I think most of us are sympathetic about that. I hope people remember that we all wish for this project to succeed.
