$25 to ship anywhere Outside of the US? too bad :/ I was looking forward to this kickstarter, but $25 to ship 4 miniatures to Canada is far too much.

Yeah, see that says to me one of two things:

A) the company hasn't bothered to look into shipping prices for Canada, and wants to group it in with "International" (then will probably pocket the money when they see the actual cost is substantially lower)

or B) The company doesn't care to offer separate shipping for Canada, and sees pocketing the money as an extra bonus

Both are bad form

I look forward to seeing what the greens look like for this Kickstarter. My introduction to the Deadlands universe was through HoE, back in the late 1990s, so this setting has a certain nostalgia for me. Combine it with Reaper, and I just couldn't pass this one up. :)

Only concept art shown. That only works for me when I'm already familiar with the previous work of the sculptor. I dont see any sculptors named. That'll make the difference in the final look of the mini's and the factor that'll decide me in following this or not.

I might have gone for one or two figs if the option was available, but I don't like the concepts for all 4 from the set and if international postage is that high then I can't justify it without seeing the finished minis first.

I have yet to see a justifiable reason to overcharge for shipping :/ If that is the actual price, that's fine. But from years of experience purchasing from the U.S. and having it shipped here, I am positive this is not the case.

I have asked for them to confirm that the shipping charge applies to Canada, as Reaper is making the miniatures for them and they don't charge for shipping to Canada if you spend more that $25.

 

I will post when I get a confirmation one way or the other.

 

I suspect that if the shipping does apply to Canada, many Canadian will pass on the kickstarter and pick up the miniatures that they want from Reaper when they go on sale.
