The 40k guys at my FLGS told me there was no way Kaladrax or Nethyrmaul would cost more than $30 retail LOL.. told them it would be over 60, but they said bones was cheaper than that.. mm hmm.. suck on that while I sit and paint my BA $15 dragon in front of you and cry because the new BA Dragon for 40k costs $135

I had given myself previous estimates that Reaper would hit 1 - 1.5million in day one of a new kickstarter should that start one. Based, however off the new Torment game and the sheer amazing value and awesomeness of the current kickstarter. I would not be surprised to see them hit 3 million on the first day.

I wouldn't expect a massive increase from there, the kicktraq models are very skewed now, I'd say 5mil tops unless it was even stupider value. But, all I'm saying is, they should be prepared for a big first day. :D

I suppose it only takes a little more than half the backers from the last kickstarter pledging $100 again to get to 1mil.

I wonder if Reaper will have less insane value after lessons learned this time (Kally and Nethy coming in over budget for example), or keep the value at a similar level to entice everyone back and then some. My guess is just fewer big guys.

I don't think it will be as good, but then again, our funding efforts allowed them to buy a massive thingo-of-technology that has allowed them to move production to usa from china, so I think they came out still well ahead and weren't massively in the red or anything.

Would big guys be a problem if they were converting Warlord?

Hmmm... big guys could be an opportunity if they were converting Warlord.

At the very least, it would be cool to have stats for Nethyrmaul/Kaladrax/Wyrmgear et al.

each of those guys would be more spendy in points than most armies are capable of fielding!

Doesn't mean you can't live the dream.

"Ok so my warlord army consists of Nethyrmauls head and wings. Flying zombie dragon head!"

"It was all I could afford of his points ~_~"

Why is that necessarily the case? Is it not advantageous to assign them stat values and points that lets their minis be usable in their manufacturers game rather than princely point values that regulate them to only enormous games? Not much to a name of 'The Undying", when that is only because the thing never gets fielded :) .

Or even better, 3 point values each representing differing power levels would provide a great level of usefulness. One gets the economical, big footprint, kinda low stats, version, the modestly powerful mid sized to large army point valued fig, and of course the Gawdly Potent point value level that will be talked about, but few tables will see.

Shambling Wyrmcorpse - Rusty Scrapdragon - Crumbling Wyrmfossil { Small Army]

Nethyrmaul the Decaying - Clockwork Dragon - Kaladrax the Dire Drake { Moderate army ]

Nethymaul the Undying - WyrmGear the Adamantine - Kaladrax Reborn!{ Veryyy spendy ]

Because Reaper doesn't have Warlord as its driving force in developing miniatures and more importantly Warlord is a skirmish scale game. With the exception of some very specific armies (eg orcs leading a goblin horde) forces are usually 10 to 20 models depending on the choices you make.

I wanted the big dragons for RPG use. Now I have a choice of 2 massive models to represent the dracolich, not just the large one from Castle Ravenloft.

The fact the Bones KS makes a Necropolis and Kragir Force easy to field is just a bonus.

Personally I'm thinking the Tre Orcs from the KS converted with P06164E & P06164F will make great bull orcs for Reven as well, and for less than the Reven metals.

I've actually (as have others) identified all the Bones models that are explicitly a reproduction of a Warlord model here:

http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?/topic/46855-warlord-bones/?p=659041

and here

Of course I'd love to see a Fire Giant army added to Warlord now given the number of suitable models that will appear in Bones soon.

And now we have official word on the price of a TPK. C'thulhu is $40 and N-Bomb and Big-K are rocking the $75 price point.

No way Seriously? Super glad I picked up them all in the KS then and I'll be working the street corners should Reaps do another.

Where did you find pricing and stuff?

The prices have been added to the Preview Gallery.

And I thought the Kickstarter was a great deal already.

Well now I know that only the last two optional models i have added repay me of half the founds placed in this kickstarter.

Estimate by ReaperBryan on the cost of the new Kaladrax if he was in metal would be close to a grand, including the 20 molds it would take to produce him. He would weigh in at close to 10#.
