That is a big unlock Recruit! Good to see things are moving right along. Tomorrow will be the interesting day for the KS. If we pull in 2.5k tomorrow, we will have 36k pretty much in the books. I'm crossing everything I have we get there. I am looking at about another $75 to add in tomorrow if things are looking good.

I don't know if I did the math right. Originally I was just going for the bases, but I thought of some good uses for this figure, then that one, and added a few ...

 

Then I crunched some numbers. But I don't quite trust my understanding.

 

I think, if I am not especially interested in the biggest models or armies of the smaller ones, I may actually be better off pledging for the Host level and swapping some out of the models out for the bases. If, for example, I were to keep only one each of the three grub types and lose the Queen, that's $25 worth of trade ins right there, and that's the bases level without needing to pledge more. For example.

 

Does this make mathematical sense? It seems a great deal for the backers.

Yep, that makes perfect sense, and is allowed. I messaged Ed about trading minis for bases and he told me it was fair game. However, if we breech the 30k stretch goal (which we totally will), the queen mini will only be worth $12, so I would figure on that being the case. Drop 3 hosts, or 1 swarm adult and 1 host, and you're golden

Yea it gets a bit confusing when you start having to compensate for the changing prices of minis. I think your best bet is to look at the prices of the minis at 36k and work from there. I don't see Ed dropping the prices any more after that, and I am almost certain we will hit 36k.

Concept art for the Overlord/Cthulhu is here! With three different head variants, this is a real beast; he'll be at least 6 inches tall, perhaps 8 inches, on a 120mm base... holy crap, that's pretty... substantive.

 

He's an add-on for $35 available once we reach $36,000 (or just upgrade to a Queen level pledge and get him included for free!).

I like the third one, the first one might be best if it was a tad smaller scale IMO.

Yeah, I'm going to get the 2nd one. Possibly the 1st, depending on how the actual sculpt looks. I love the eyes on him. It makes him distinct from the other swarm critters.

I like the second one best too; he is definitely most Cthulhuesque... and I like me some Cthulhu.

 

I just hope we get all the way to $36,000 now!

Just a quick update. Ed added in some revised heads that everyone is going gaga over. I would check them out if I were you. Just goto the Kickstarter and click the Update tab.

 

Also the Overlord is available at $45 even if we don't hit $36k. I still believe we will get it though and the Overlord(Cthulhu) will only be $30 to anyone who has another pledge level.

Oh, I don't doubt it for a second. The people who starred the project got their reminder emails about 2 hours ago. Now we have the 30k stretch goal about to be passed. This is yet another way to get more money, since people will upgrade pledges, or more people will join to get the neat stuff. The next 2 days are going to be big. We might even get another goal down after 36k!
