I am working on a spreadsheet but the addition of new stretch goals has thrown the whole thing off a bit. I have never tried to host one as a form before though. That will be a new trick for me if I can pull it off. I will post as soon as it is done. So far I have everything in and just need to adjust a few values.

My sheet will assume we hit the 36k stretch level for all prices and I will include the new stretch goals in the addons as well.

Here's hoping it works....

Edit: I should note that I threw out the idea of making it work for trade-ins long ago. That is just too much math for my lil brain to handle. Sorry but you will be on your own for those. I would suggest using the add-ons part of the sheet to do calculations.

Ok please read all of this before using the link below...

I made a basic pledge calculator... It is simple and MAY HAVE ERRORS. If you find a problem with it, I will do my best to fix it and post here once it is corrected.

It does not calculate trade-ins. That would be next to impossible to make a sheet for and my head might explode in the process. Also there is a section that shows how many of each mini you get. This section will not add in the minis you add on in the "Other Mini Pledge Levels" section. I am working on that and will try and fix it. It also does not account for the FREE minis that people are getting. I will try and work in the new free LE Grub in the near future.

USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK, this is still a work in progress, and please double check everything with a calculator. I hope some of you will find it helpful. ONLY enter numbers in the green fields. Entering text or entering things in other fields will break the sheet and you will have to reload the page to get it working again.

Ok the Pledge Calculator is as complete as I can make it. Everything now adds in and itemizes down in the bottom sections, I added the Alien hunters, alien alien hunters, eggs, and dreadnoughts to the sheet, and I added in the new $105 Mega Alien Unit pledge.

Please let me know if you find any problems with it.

I have also been told you can play with trade ins by entering negative numbers in certain fields such as the addons section.

Alright, the $36,000 stretch goal is a thing of the past, Overlord/Cthulhu is in the bag, and we're moving on towards $38K and $40K!

Insane trading of minis has been restricted somewhat, but Host is still a really, really good deal for $50, and the Swarm and Queen level pledges are looking better and better with all these absolutely enormous minis being added in!

Only 15 hours to go; time to jump aboard this if you're sitting on that fence thinking about if you really need grub worms in your life! (Of course you do!)

Okay, question: Re: the 1/2 pledge trade-in limitation.

Do we take half the value of the pledge itself (i.e. $25 of the $50 host pledge) or half the total value of the items in the pledge (half of the $100+ value of the host pledge) for trade ins?

Also, can we pledge for the base-only level pledges if we have backed a higher level (like I would still like to get 2x 20 base pledge levels). Will $20 cover this?

It's become quite confusing and I thought it would be easier to ask those who have read most of the comments on the KS instead of my spending 3 hours catching up.

Thanks!

I was wondering the same myself and sent a message on KS to Ed, but in the mean time Im pretty sure its the second one.

On the "KS Stretch Goal Table" page theres an example in the trading section which indirectly suggests it:

Notice: You cannot trade miniatures using their add-on value for pledge levels (other than the ‘base’ pledges mentioned above).

Example: You cannot pick a Host level pledge (@ stretch goal #8 its trading ‘add-on’ value is $117), and trade in half its value ($58.50) to by another Host pledge, etc.

Its technically talking about something else and mentioning what you cant do, but it seems to imply that the "value" is intended as the equivalent add-on prices.

Also, can we pledge for the base-only level pledges if we have backed a higher level (like I would still like to get 2x 20 base pledge levels). Will $20 cover this?

Yeah, you can pledge at multiple levels or more than one of a single level. Just add the extra amount(s) on to your main pledge. Adding on an extra $20 (2 x $10) should be correct as far as I can tell.

Whats been confusing me is the mention in the half-value restriction of people who have been gaming the system. I thought (and still think... I think...) that trades and additional pledges would simply be sorted out in the backer survey after the KS closes. So how have people been gaming it already when they havent had a chance to request any trades?

Well, there could be people who are only interested in the dreadnoughts, for example. They might have put down for a Host level pledge ($50) with the intention of trading it all out for 6 (!) dreadnoughts. But you're right in that trades and stuff will be sorted after the Kickstarter ends; the gaming the system is just about what people were intending to do.

BTW, I agree with your thoughts on the 1/2 value of pledges; that's how I was reading it too.
