Yeah, I get the problem being prevented. Im just confused because the mention of it was sort of phrased about as though people have already done it.

 

My problem now is that the stuff I wanted to trade out all got reduced in price, and none of the stuff I wanted to trade in got reduced...

Correction on trading: Ed has clarified that it is half of the original pledge price, not half of the add-on value of the minis. Although he says he is happy to be a little bit flexible so long as people are reasonable.

Ed is proposing an alternative Paypal option for those interested in the KS, but without a Credit Card as follows

 

"Ed and I are contemplating a special PayPal Kickstarter page for the store, for when this all ends. This will allow those without credit cards to grab some amazing deals. This page will the same pledge deals as here on the Kickstarter, *but* the shipping is the same as the store, and you wont be able to make trades using it. I'm posting here to ask if there is a demand for this - please ask in forums and such. There is not much time, this page link has to go in before the Kickstarter ends and the main page locks. The only link to this special page will be via the Kickstarter main page (that's if the link goes up).

Right, I've worked out my final pledge since I'll be out most of the night (in the UK). I'm in for $129. $110 swarm, $10 shipping and $9 for add-ons. Swapping out 15 grubs, 5 adult swarm, 3 hounds, 1 flyer, 2 lava swarm and 2 warrior swarm for $56 (just $1 over half original swarm value). With the extra $9 that covers the Overlord, eggs and an extra Wyrm.

I wasn't even thinking of converting partial pledges into whole free pledges; that's plain mean, greedy, and a great reason to have companies never run Kickstarter projects again! Something no one should want, unless you really do dislike everyone else--totally anti-fun, which is the purpose of a gaming KS project.

 

Anyway, I have uses for a drone and overlord and wanted to figure out how much extra I should add to be sure I can swap items for both of them.

I'll have to see how it all comes out in the wash as the KS finalises, but what Id ideally like to do is trade in 6 adults, 3 adult warriors, and the queen, and in exchange add a hound, 2 stealth adults, 2 larva and the egg nest. Its trading in $33 instead of the $25 but I hope itll be ok.

Carnage hound. The carnage hound is a massive bloated muscled beast. It requires a 80mm base. The creature has grown massive eating and absorbing alien DNA from many variations of creatures and the bursts of speed from the creature are surprising due to it's size. Add a carnage hound at $15. Swarm level adds a Goliath wyrm while queen levels add 2 carnage hounds!

Agh, headaches, this is so confusing.

 

Can I ask some advice?

 

To begin with I pledged $25 for bases.

 

Then I saw uses for a few figures and added to my pledge.

 

As the total nudged toward $50, I decided to switch to a Host pledge of $50, since it ended up being a better deal if I could swap out some of it for bases anyway.

 

Do I gather I can swap $25 of that value, not more? Because that will still get me the bases.

 

Problem is, I'm really not that keen on the biggest sculpts.

 

So I need to know if I need to add any to my pledge, or if at these prices it's actually better for me to switch back to the Bases pledge and count the extra $25 for the minis I'd like to get.

You can certainly swap out $25 of figures from a Host level to buy bases (you could get rid of a big figure or two to do so)

 

Ed will work with you so if you're atall worried contact him and let him ok what you want to do personally (that's what I did)

Think I'm sorted

Backing for Swarm, want to swap the cannon drone ($30) for two carnage hounds ($15 each) and add to my pledge for an egg swarm and "alien" alien hunter.

Ok the Pledge Calculator has been updated. It now assumes that we will hit $42,000 and get everything. Shipping info has been added to the top instructions and no freebies are calculated on the sheet. I also added a link to the Trollforged news page so you can see what the current freebies are.
