Meh. I backed knowing it would be a long wait. It was pretty much a one man operation and he was already being swamped with other kickstarters using trollforge.

Besides he totally went overboard with stretch goals and ambition, which you could see long before it even ended.

 

I decided to pledge anyway since he's known to be a pretty solid dude (not too much risk of him not delivering eventually) and just be surprised the day they arrive. My guess is christmas 2016 .

I'm with Orlando, though I only backed for bases.  I'll probably just give them away or heavily mod them myself as now I actually know how to make my own.

I think I will get mine too, its just that I paid extra for split shipping that hasn't happened yet

I sold off half of my way, way too big pledge a couple of weeks ago, and I'm in line to sell another chunk. Looking back at it, I'll be more than happy with the basic Host pledge for $50, and I have no idea what I would do with my initial pledge of $420 (I just went really overboard with this one). I do like some of the sculpts (the grubs, the wyrm, the fiend, and the hosts are kind of fun), but others like the swarm warriors I really do not like, and the alien hunters (by another sculptor) are pretty terrible. And I have no idea what's going on with that dreadnought.

Got into this in the midst of KS fever.   Spent more than I should have for product in a genre I don't play much.   But oh well, will stick it out.

With the latest update, Ed has dropped in my estimation again, from "never do business with" to "actively warn people against doing business with". Now he apparently can't be bothered to produce bases in the styles advertised.

So, not only was he unable to provide the round cobblestone bases originally advertised in due time, they won't even be on offer? Okay, I am going to tell him that's in fact a TOS violation.

it's not a case of refusing to provide anything

 

Ed CANNOT provide the exact cobblestone bases shown on the KS front page as they were sculpted by an Ex-employee who took them with him when he left,

 

however Ed can and will make round/lipped cobblestone bases if backers want them it's just that they will not be available immediately
