Girot
the only other thing I backed was a cheesy side-scrolling video game. there was only a single miniature I wanted from any of ther other KS that popped up recently but I'm not willing to drop two hondo just so i can get my hands on ONE model I actually want. I'll just watch ebay for it to show up sometime next year.
Dai-Mongar
I'm trying to exercise caution with Kickstarter. I've backed the Judge Dredd project since Reaper, initially just to get the $5 Dredd mini but that grew steadily to $155. Would have gone for the $300 level if I could have afforded to, that was a great deal. Point being, I'm particularly susceptible to great bargains and could easily get carried away backing several projects at a time if I don't keep my head straight. Luckily there haven't been too many more miniatures KS's that I've been interested in lately; just hope that the next one that takes my fancy is a few months away. Shakandara
I am definitely *not* burned out. In fact, I find myself cruising the KS project categories I am most interested in every week or two to see what is new. Granted, not a whole lot has grabbed me enough to want to invest. Now, there is definitely some wallet fatigue going on at this stage, after dropping north of $600 between Bones and CSM's Demons and Devils projects (plus some minor contributions to a couple others). The disposable income budget certainly impacts my level of interest in new stuff, but if the next great, irresistible project were to come down the pike tomorrow, I'd find a way to set aside the money for it before it closed. That's one of the reasons I was surprised at my own reaction to Werner's Indiegogo campaign; I *like* his work, a lot. But between the personal bias against Indiegogo's funding process, and my general disinterest in the figures being offered in the project, I'm entirely unmotivated to back it. But if Dark Sword or some other small miniature company were to roll out a project for some new dragons or something? I'd be all over it in a heartbeat. ~v
daveismyhero
If I was better at searching KS, I'd probably be looking for more awesomeness. Since I am a poor searcher, I rely on the fine people of these boards to find intriguing projects. So far you are all doing a great job enabling me. (And I mean that in a very good way!) I tend to just do a search on 'Miniatures' to find all the figure based kickstarters. Brings up a couple of non-gaming things but I don't think I've missed any projects since. EDIT: Having said that, did a quick check and Going Native doesn't appear as they don't use the term Miniature anywhere. Just model.
Orlando_the_Technicoloured
Miniature, Figure, Model, Wargame/Wargaming are the search terms I use (plus RPG, but that's not to look for minis) and painful as searching KS is, I find Indiegogo even harder to pin down as it 'sometimes' pulls in plurals, but not always
Matbar
I wish they'd lay off the mini's kickstarters until about March of next year, and actually NOT because that's when my Reaper stuff will come. Seems to me that while there is (and always will be) young blood in the gaming community, there are legions of us who were playing when D&D was the only option. Which means most of us have families....and Christmas is coming. Anything I would have wavered on and possibly chosen say March of next year or later I'm gonna take a pass on because of my kid's Christmas.
Nocturne
I'd be surprised if there are any big ones going over that period but you may see some of the smaller boutique lines still going that are run by one or so people.
dariustad
I'm not burned out! The interest I have in a couple of projects and drooling, er... dreaming about the arrival of so many Bones comes March keeps me interested and searching for something just as awesome to add to my collection. This is a hobby! We all share it (or we wouldn't post on the forums of a miniatures company), and it's up to all of us to keep everyone else apprised of what new potential awesome could be around the corner! kaosweaver
I've formed a nice addiction to Kickstarter. I check all new projects daily and all ending project daily (once you've caught up, it is like a 5m thing) during the week. I've seen all of the ones everyone's talked about, since I'm not in to individual minis (characters), but in to monsters (and then those that make for interesting table top battles), I've skipped a lot of KSs. On the flip side, I enjoyed the demons and devils one, right now I'm in three terrain KSs ( unpainted buildings, painted buildings, hills & rivers & rocks) and I've participated in various gamer related ones (shirts, comics, RPGs, movies, games - video and board, the Catan board) and not so gamer related (music, art, theater, science and marshmallows). I'm now OCD on the wheel in my profile (got three more section to get pledges in to fill out the whole circle). I've really enjoyed actually talking with the creators of the products, I like helping out small business and working with them. I've found it great and everyone I've contacted has done a super job with their businesses, makes me want to spend more with them.

dariustad
I'm down for the marshmallows. Anyone who didn't back that project was having a silly moment. Those things look awesome, and the person running the business is amazing to talk with.

dariustad
It's too late for the KS, but you can order marshmallows from their new web store. If you can't find it, send me a pm.
