Kickstarter Burn-out

I backed Sedition Wars (We've Got Movement + extras) , Reaper Bones (vampire + one of every extra bone + orcpacalypse), Relic Knights (Two Gotta Get 'Em All with some tradebacks to get me one of everything and a bunch of extra Black Diamond troop sets including extra Black Dragons), and at a very limited level Dreadball (Guard, PDFs of rules for seasons 1-3, and 1 8 person team with two keeprs and a mech added).

So yeah, I'm a little tired, a little poor, and will be buried neck deep in plastic by May.

Next Spring, I may pile all of my plastic minis together and swim through them like Scrooge McDuck! Divin' through me mini bin and burrow through it like a gopher. Don't think I'll toss 'em up and let 'em hit me on me head, though. You could take your eye out, kid!

Fortunately, I think my DeepWars stuff should be on its way soon, so that might help mollify me for a bit. :;):

And today I get the notice from AntiMatter Games that they are starting to ship the rulebooks for DeepWars. Yay!

(If you missed out on this KS and are interested, they are still accepting pledges via ChipIn from their website.)

So how is Deep Wars different than Shadowsea?

They seem to both be warband style pulpy steampunk skirmish games set in a hollow-earth grotto full of lizard men, amazons and good and evil ancient remnants of a formerly advanced mariner society facing colonialist invaders from the 1600's with weird steam tech.

Shadowsea is mechanically loosely based (obviously with permission) on Ganesha Games 'Song of Blades and Heroes' rules.

So is Deep Wars the rule set Antimatter made up themselves? is it just a bunch of news stuff and figure sets for Shadowsea?

I'm looking forward to my deepwars stuff too.

Deepwars and shadow sea are the same game, same world and can be played in tandem. Deepwars takes place under water and shadow sea above land, at least that's everything that I've gathered from Antimatter. There looks to be a new shadowsea KS and revised rulebook in the works that will bring the two together and will have character miniatures that can traverse between the two games as they're being played. How well that will work....well who knows, it's a fun concept but may be unwieldy to actually play. I don't believe the rule set is going to be much different then the current Shadowsea stuff but they have said all the old models will need new cards.

Do love the miniatures though and I've held off on pledging on other lines going on as I want to get in on shadowsea.

As far as my stats:

Currently 30 on KS and 7 on Indigogo

Of those 37 7 are active (and probably going to dial down on how much I pledged in the last few days--tend to do that).

Of the 30 that aren't active I've received 8 (all from KS) with another 5 being in the last month or so of development\production (according to updates at least). There are 2, one from indigogo and one from KS, that really don't seam to care to ever update more then once every 4-5 months, that I am a tad concerned about but so far everything else I've been happy with.

"DeepWars is a continuation of the adventures from the ShadowSea game, taking place in the same time period and involving many of the same forces, but introduces new rules for combat beneath the sea, battles aboard breached submersibles, new magic and ether technology"
