kimbers
I'll have to check out the new Bones cases for glue issues, it would be bad if they have the same issue. If the problem was only with the ones not made by the guy from Foamcorps, then they should be okay, because the inserts for the figure cases were made by him (if I got that right). The one I have has a little stickiness but when loaded the bottles come out relatively easily as the rest of the bottles hold the tray down. No more glue and bits of foam coming out anymore, but I really just use it for extra paints at the moment as I have other racks and don't take my paints anywhere. I didn't really buy them for the case anyway - it was just a nice perk. My paint caddy's are sitting empty in their Reaper tote bag, but I think that may be remedied in about ten day's time. BlackDuck
Bought the second HD kit two weeks ago from Reaper's web store, and I also have issues with excess glue becoming stuck to the bottom of my bottles and migrating everywhere. I have now taken the paint bottles out and cleaned them and am not using the case until I can figure out how to clean it to the point that the little gluey splods don't get stuck to everything. Harrek
I thought about cutting out some round circles of wax paper that is a bit larger than the circle of the holes for the bottles. And then putting it down into the bottom of the holes that have the sticking problem.
CashWiley
There's a bit in the KS cases, too. Not as bad as the paint case, but I'm going to have to think twice about putting painted minis in there. My Battlefoam case has no tacky glue in the trays. There's got to be a better adhesive Reaper can use for their foam!
JDSeibert
I have both the KS case and the paint case. The paint case is plain awful. I have taken the paint out and it is laying on the floor, no doubt sticking to that too. I have not had that problem with the KS mini case. CorallineAlgae
Same here. I ordered both HD paint sets and a spare empty paint case (to house all of the standard MSP I ordered). All of them had the same nasty gummy glue problem. It's a PITA but after cleaning off each bottle a few times it stops becoming a regular hassle. The case is basically a freebie with the HD sets and really is a great bargain. I use all three cases but I don't recommend buying the empty one. Paying $16 for a messy storage option is way different than getting a free one with a paint set. In the end though, I have a great storage solution for my paint collection and almost never pull any sticky bottles (after only a few weeks of use). It's a shame that such a great deal has to be marred by something as benign as a lousy choice of foam adhesive. Still, I'm happier with the cases than I would be without them.
