Oh carp! :(

I was this close to being kickstarter free for the rest of this year.

The Medieval Village kickstarter ends tomorrow which is my last active backed project, and I had pretty much talked myself out of backing a couple other kickstarters that have been tempting me... But then this shows up here with a Reaper connection and sculpts by one of my favourite Reaper sculptors. Thanks a lot guys. ;)

A question though for anyone more familiar with this kickstarter than I. Is there any benefit to me pledging at a level higher than the $10 one if all I want are the miniatures, both shown and those yet to be unveiled? I hadn't heard of this project until just now.

Thanks Recruittons! I'm glad you like them, they were a LOT of fun to sculpt.

Darsc, yep Team Frog and Reaper have a long history together. How can you lose? As to the pledging, I'm sorry I won't be much help there. You can always pledge $10 and then up it later if you need to. :poke:

Nice work, Gene! I'm extremely tempted to smash open my piggybank, because these seriously appeal to my sense of humour.

That's exactly why I gave in and backed this kickstarter. Even though I don't have an immediate play use for the minis, I think I can eventually work them into Pulp games. Plus they look like a lot of fun to paint up. :)

Normally I'm actually even more picky, because I don't like slotted bases. But these guys are gnarly enough that I'm willing to make an exception.

Also lots of your Chronoscope ones - I'm quite particularly smitten with your Russian Sniper, Ivanetta.

So there you go, Gene. You have done the unthinkable. After 20 years of stolid, even heroic, resistance, you have converted me over to slotted miniatures. Given that I once gave away a gigantic box of nice, blistered minis on the sole basis they had slots - that's no mean feat!

I wouldn't trust Paul Lidberg (again) with a nickle. Buy into this one at your own risk.

That's a rather loaded statement. Care to elaborate?

I loaned Paul money (actually unopened displays of M:tG cards that he sold) so that he could print CritterTek. He promised to repay me after the printing. He gave me a few copies of the book and promised to repay later. Somehow he could never manage to do that, though Crunchy Frog stayed open.

Since Kickstarter is a loan for creative purposes with repayment in kind, I felt it necessary to mention this.

Invest in him if you think it wise. I won't.

Doug,

I went bankrupt (Chapter 7)...that this happened was well-known when it went down...you were included on the list of creditors and I know we attempted to send you the notice (so you could take the loss on your taxes)...and the assets of Crunchy Frog were included in that filing...as this is Texas and the value of "estate" was below the limit set by the state, it remained mine...a few years later I started doing new stuff again.

I'm not happy about having to do that, but I can't change it at this point.

My apologies for how that went down. I will say that I didn't exactly enjoy it either.

As to other questions:

New figures will come at the Stretch Goals - most of them will be 'Add-ons" and be an additional $5 each.

Anyone who buys into the $10 "Figure Collector" level can add any new items (or combinations of whichever) at $5 each. We'll be using a Pledge Manager much like what Reaper had to work out those details at the end.

Anyone who buys in at the $30 "Hero" level gets the game and the first two figures...and can add the new stuff at $5 each...and will get certain Stretch Goals *included* for no cost...hint, the Gold Shields have something to do with that...

Oh, and we've added some new Reward Levels as everyone was taking all the special stuff...not cheap, but you have a chance to change the SuperFogeys universe Forever!
