I really hate the whole, "update that I will update you for real tomorrow" garbage.

It's just BS.  So when you don't do it tomorrow because of another "crisis" you can say, "See I tried to start in touch."

 

It is one thing to have regularly scheduled weekly/monthly/etc update with nothing new to report today, but we are expecting some new art tomorrow and will share as soon as we get it.  Because it's part of a regular schedule you are maintaining.  But there has been no consistency and regularity to updates beyond "I swear I will do it next time."

 

I saw him at RCon, but avoided him and his booth because I was irritated.  Although in hindsight, I should have offered to save him shipping and requested he bring my minis with him.

Also. Still no sign of the real kickstarter update that was promised yesterday.

It is my understanding he is undergoing some personal problems. I would assume this is why, out of two orders, the first arrived with postage due (which screwed up delivery, because the local PO managed to lose the package for a few days after not delivering it).

He was deeply apologetic and offered a great discount on my next order. So I made another order, my second. This was several weeks ago. And due to these personal problems, he apparently has yet to post me anything. He said he would do so this past Monday, though. Perhaps my minis are in the mail now.

Or perhaps they are not.

He seemed like a very nice fellow at Reapercon. But I am still waiting for my minis.

It is only because of his acquaintance with Reaper that I have been letting this ride for as long as I have.

But this has been dragging out for far too long and communication has been poor.

Well, in all honesty, it is my understanding that he simply contracts with Reaper to make figures for his games. 

It does make me kind of glad, though, that I didn't know about the Superfogeys KS until it was over. Gene Van Horne sculpts, and Gene's endorsement, would likely have caused me to buy in, had I known... and it disturbs me greatly to think that this has gone on so long with no real closure, much less fulfillment of obligations.

This is a big, flashing, yellow arrow warning sign to avoid this company at all costs. If they're not willing to fix their mistake right away at their cost, they're not worth doing business with. They may as well buy one of these and put "wants to rip you off" on it.

Why bother making an announcement that you will be making an announcement the next day and then remain silent?

Another week has come and gone, and I pretty much now count myself among the ranks of those whose money Paul Lidberg has taken, and given nothing in return.

The sad thing is, I'm not surprised. I was expecting the promise to be broken.
