This was his response, last night, to my post on the Team Frog FB page:

Working on it...the cost of shipping the minis ahead was not part of the budget, and I already have the cost of the first try where they (virtually) all came back I ate...add that to the personal situation i am facing and that has made certain things less easy to accomplish.

It's amazing how the banking/credit card industry has managed to build computer systems that can instantaneously transfer money from your bank account to their's. We truly live in a hi-tech world.

Someday, they may even be able to build a system that can transfer money from their account back to your's just as quickly.

That's not quite whats going on with money transfers. When the bank transfers money to you it comes out of their account just as instantly and just like you they have to wait up to a few days for the money that "instantly" came out of your account to clear before they can use it. Basically its a fraud protection measure.

...so he shipped them all, and most of them came back?

I really wonder. This seems to be a chronic problem for Team Frog, the inability to deal with the postal service effectively...

Might need a new postal scale, mailer software, or excuse pad.

"Dog ate my homework" is only useful so many times before it becomes suspect.

Brother had a friend in Jr High that successfully used that excuse because he provided photo evidence, on several occasions.  Damned dog thought EVERYTHING was food.

Sigh.

He apologized profusely several weeks ago, and promised not only to return my money, but to ship the figures I ordered.

He did return my money.

Afterwards, he posted quite a few pics of himself and his family, running a table at a con. Selling figures. And games. While his kickstarter customers continue to wait.

I'm done with Paul Lidberg and Team Frog. It is my understanding that he's in severe financial straits, and currently unemployed, but this does not mean that I wish to pay his bills for him while continuing to wait for my product. If you can't do business, don't say you're doing business. Shut it down until you are able to actually do business, as opposed to merely cashing your marks' checks.

Still nothing and Paul Lidberg has remained totally silent on this and his other KS, Zombie Stomp.

He finally broke radio silence mid-July, woofed at people for beaing mean to him, made a couple feeble excuses, then disappearred again at the end of July.

Is there a "fraud" tag?

If there isn't a fraud tag I think we need one....

This KS certainly deserves one....

Seriously though.... getting a bad reputation as a thief/scam artist for so little (comparatively) money.... does not strike me as the brightest move!

In order to preserve the spirit of neutrality, as a corner of the board in which to discuss other projects, with user-generated feedback, we are not going to be tagging projects with judgment-based labels, such as "fraud" or "fail".  All projects are Officially labeled "Pre-Launch", "Live", "Funded" "Fulfilling" or "Delayed", implying no specific support or lack thereof, and no judgement from Reaper on the Creator's actions, intent, or ability.

Users are welcome to reach their own conclusions about which projects deserve support and which projects do not, as well as which projects constitute failures or fraudulent activity.

yeah, I get that, it was my frustration typing. I recognize and appreciate that it's even possible to be having this conversation here.

Understandable. This and the Otherworld Indigogo are the two most frustrating crowdfunding projects I've backed and most of that has to do with extremely poor communication.
