Note that Cthulhu, Kaladrax, and Wyrmgear never got metal masters. We made resin masters because they were too big to fit in our mold boxes.

Interesting! (Also interesting that you have adopted the forum name for the Clockwork Dragon, and not his official one - truly you are a man of the people)

I didn't think you could make injection-molded tooling with resin masters. Neat.

He has another name? Dang, I need to stop surfing the board quite so much...

I'm calling mine "Clockwyrm." ;)

By the way -- I've seen pictures of the Kaladrax dragon, but I recalled at some point in the Kickstarter mention was made that there'd also be a small human-sized figure included (portrayed in the concept art)? Is that still (or was that ever) the case?

There was a post under Update #54 that said (link at http://www.kickstarter.com/profile/1513061270/comments -- Wayyyyyyy down on the page.)

And regarding the Dragon and girl:

"Comments moving too fast: @I forget who asked: Hyrekia is included, and is not integral to the Dragon - she is a separate part."

Yes. I'll see if I can find the post from an official Reaper person (probably Bryan) that says so.

Edit: Found it.

The Hyrekia that is in the concept art will be released in Bones as well.

Awesome! I just can't have too many Hyrekias. :D Okay, that's an exaggeration, but what I mean is that it's a really neat figure design. I have one that I converted (minus the staff and minus the scarily-long fingernails) for a Pirates of the Spanish Main RPG campaign, and she worked splendidly there. I look forward to a chance to paint up a Bones Hyrekia "properly" to go along with the dragon.

I was equally impressed with the resin/metal combination figure that I have purchased from Reaper. I would be excited about that opportunity as well. Having said that, I have no reason to believe that i will not thoroughly enjoy the plastic version; I'm just curious about other mediums (since I am more familiar with them, yadda).

We should remember that what I consider a reasonable price in metal is not representative of the norm. I collect old TSR Ral Partha, so a $300 Kaladrax wouldn't phase me much. I've paid over $50 for a single Hyrekia-sized miniature.

In fact, I've been in Ral Partha's high-priced neighbourhood for so long every time I buy metal from Reaper I feel like I'm robbing them.

Bones prices just crack my brainpan wide open. I can get SIXTY Bones kobolds for half what I once paid for a single undernourished RP minotaur.

Oh, yes. The Hyrekia that is in the concept art will be released in Bones as well. I do not know at this time whether she will be included in the box with Kaladrax or as a separate figure.

She's on my list of figs I'd like to have, and if by some miracle she was a surprise bonus figure to accompany Kaladrax it would be tres' cool.
