Artists Wren Posted November 15, 2012 Artists Share Posted November 15, 2012 This looks like a great way to get some Reaper Mouslings out on the table! There are some cool stretch goals (including miniatures) to be unlocked. It'll also be interesting to follow as a short Kickstarter experiment, which I know some other companies are experimenting with. It's only running for 10 days total, nine more from the day of posting. Overall I think Kickstarters running for a month or so is a good idea, gives time for buzz, people to work out finances and so on. I'm also concerned about Kickstarters running up against holiday spending. In this case, the short time seems to be a response to the holidays, as the project managers are pitching it as a potential holiday gift. One of the pledge levels is to have it gift wrapped and tagged for your chosen recipient. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2063410154/cairn?ref=live

Orlando_the_Technicoloured
Hmm Mike Nystal has to fulfill the Axes & Anvils dwarf RPG plus a bunch of other material generated by that KS by the end of the month (& organising a convention for the game) It looks like that won't happen but he hopes to have stuff out in time for Xmas gift giving, all well and good what worries me a little bit is this part of the last update "Cairn: Another project is launching this weekend. We are doing this in part to cover costs (the laundry list of stuff I'm putting together and a con are an expensive proposition!)" now this may just be a throwaway line, but it suggests they need extra money from this new KS to completlely fullfill the currently outstanding one. Not an ideal situation to be in

Pally
When I saw the heading, "Woodland Creatures" I thought of fairies, dryads, brownies, unicorns, etc.. *sigh* ... More super-deformed combat furries. Edit: Oh, it's an RPG rules set for super-deformed combat furries. I guess one of those are needed. Carry on then. Artists Wren Posted November 18, 2012 Author Artists Share Posted November 18, 2012 Sorry, I probably should have said critters instead of creatures. :-> They passed the level to add miniatures, and a miniature for a different kind of critter will be added with each additional $1000 that the campaign hits. They've opened up the game world to a lot more different types of critters. Their Facebook page is showing some of the art and noting the unlocked critter types. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/CairnRPG
