P14041B: Dark Fairy

Continuing my run of minis chosen to be 4E DnD Pixie PCs.

 

These minis remain really hard to photograph!

Looking good sir! I still think you could benefit by thinning your paints some more.

She's a dark fairy alright. I like the slight iridescent look of the blue in her wings. Did you use something metallic along with the highlighting?

 

Is that a mold edge on the spear head? (as seen in the behind shot)

beautiful wings- just like a butterfly! The lightest highlight really makes it pop!

Thrym annoyingly enough yes it is. He isn't sealed yet so I might remove it and retouch the spear. But as a gaming figure I may not...

I'm curious as to what part of the mini makes you say that.

The right calf and knee, I can't place my finger on it but the paint just looks thick there to me. It is possibly the sealer you're using which is playing tricks on my eyes, or possibly the fact that you're taking a photo of something so tiny.

I think it might be the tiny factor and some of the grass being just in front of the area but not being properly defined in the photo.
