I attribute my being able to back these kinds of things by the distinct lack of other high-end expensive habits (smoking, alchohol, other recreational drugs) :D

Of course, considering how neurotically I'm checking various KS pages for updates, as well as trendlines in Kikctraq, and visiting forums... I can't really say that this is necessarily more healthy xP

I'm quite relieved that this one isn't quite to my tastes, I already have sooooo many miniatures on the way. After backing Bones, Chibi minis, Endless, Demons & Devils, Bombshell Babes, Dreadball and Low Life that's already rather intimidating...

That said the quality of the work here looks incredible and it's great to see another miniatures Kickstarter doing so well.

I like that the world is very distinctly different. Floor of stone faces, ink over eyes, endless darkness, civilisation only just starting, radioactive dragons..... what in blazes is going on! Some of it nods towards a long way off post-apocalypse setting, others are complete mind benders.

It's in the title. Kingdom Death. From the pledge reward text:

Explorer of Death - Rewards from Deluxe Survivor + We will sculpt a unique survivor head for you and upgrade the game with it. The artwork and a credit will be included in the rulebook. Along with a short story about how your survivor died. We will also make a hunt or settlement event in your honor.

So the game begins after the survivor dies.

I agree most, if not all, all signs point to this being the afterlife. but I'm pretty sure the short story is about how you died in the KD world. Otherwise there wouldn't be much reason for something in the KD world to be named in the character's honor.
Come on now, you begin the game alone, naked, and with no memories, surrounded by endless darkness and monsters. It's not a stretch to think it's Hell.
.
That's what I've assumed. KD is a very stylized Hell.
Why Hell? I think it makes an even more dark setting if this is the afterlife everyone gets, rather than a "punishment" for the 'bad' people. Or even darker still, perhaps this afterlife is the Reward Afterlife since the 'survivors' are granted a tiny chance.to continue existing.

And this being a reward afterlife kinda makes sense in a way because neither Warhammer cosmology or Berserk Cosmology have much prospect of a Reward afterlife. And Poots have gone on record citing those two as inspirations for KD. The stone faces are probably the souls who didn't earn this 'reward'.

First, let me say that Adam is putting on an impressive show with over 400 k$ raised with 38 days still to go. This is the second KS I have backed (the first was Bones) and I am pretty fired up about it.

Now the request part. Please add a deal to swap the t-shirt for credit to buy options. Many of us in the 40+ age range are past the point in our life where a logo t-shirt or a t-shirt that makes a statement "works" for anything other than to clean the garage or mow the lawn. Have you considered putting any of your drawings up on Zazzle (or some equivalent). Reaper recently put the F5 Sophie there with about a 100 options of what to put it on (I ordered a coffee mug to clean my brushes in for my part)

If you get some designs up on Zazzle now, there is still enough time for folks to recieve stuff (including shirts, mugs, etc...) with your logos before Christmas, before year end, and before end of the KS. Getting that sort of stuff out sooner rather than later might even bring in some otherwise uninformed potential backers.

I doubt Poots wants to potentially have a 1000 more minis to make. Plus volume discounts on the Tshirts mean the shirt might not even be worth 1 plastic kingdom death mini.

I believe that Adam has already indicated that he won't do any swap outs. He is a one man operation and I'm sure the logistics are already looking pretty overwhelming at this point.

Fair enough on the logistics he will have to deal with and that perhaps making swaps a deal breaker. I still think there is potential value to him and the consumer to get some of his artwork on a site like zazzle, where he gets a royalty without having to deal with logistics of coffee mugs, mousepads, bags, baby jumpers or whatever.

Now that I would certainly agree with and really there is no point in not doing it.
