My LGS has some Malifaux stuff.

However my LGS is 204km or 2.5 hours away, its not like I'm a regular customer and I've spent more there in the last 6 months since I started spending money on KS projects than in the 1.5 years before that.

Down in the state capital I wasn't aware of any store that carried Malifaux of the 3 I frequented.

So their assumptions are pretty flawed from where I sit.

Yeah, I will say it comes off as a bit... superior? I don't know, I'd hate to put words in his mouth, but it doesn't sound very good. Like he's trying to use a high ethical position to guilt people into accepting that they won't be offering rewards that satisfy the backers' desires. I dunno. I'm definitely in a wait and see kind of mood on this. Stretch goals will reveal the truth of this, I believe.

ETA: I mean, I sort of see where he's coming from, but I also feel it's rather heavy-handed.

he should put a $ 50 level with only thanks in return if he dont want to give merchandise in exchange of money

I was surprised there wasn't the usual "thanks level", just straight in at $60. Especially as only backers can comment, that $1 can be a good way for people to look in on the kickstarter a bit more before putting a full pledge in.

Ah, the LGS thing again. Mine doesn't carry Wyrd.

I understand the thought behind this support of LGS, but it has to be tempered with understanding that most of the country is not served by an LGS, and even those that do probably don't stock your products (unless you're GW or WotC).

Oh ok, NOW I'm pledging. I'll probably want to see some more minis to definately stick around but it's worth at least getting in now to maybe get Miss terious as well as the multiparts and Hannah.

Quick check on eBay makes it about $130 for Miss Terious and the hanging tree so it's worthwhile for mini collectors at the Dining Room level.

Yeah. The Dining Room Gamer level now has a potential 6 minis (counting Miss Terious, the added multi-pose, the hanging tree, and the already included 3), the books, and - as was just confirmed by Wyrd - the exclusive fate deck. Beating the current 250k goal outline seems likely, so here's hoping there's more treasure up the hill
