While it might not be an amazing value its also not a bad value. If you went the al a carte option you might not save anything over what you'd pay at you local store. Any of the higher pledge prices you'll be unlikely to beat outside of the kickstart. Unfortunately I was more interested in Shadowsea than I am in Deepwars so I'll be waiting to see if that comes back in the future.

10-20% discount

No, I'm not expecting a Bones-like deal. But since company's generally sell to distributors at a 60% discount off retail, then I'd have expected them to reach a little deeper to really get some interest going for their products. I don't know what kind of cut KS takes though, so maybe it is more reasonable than I've been thinking. But really, for a 10 to 20% discount from retail I can just wait and pick it up through my FLGS. Like to support them whenever I can anyway.

or you can save for the next reaper kickstarter ^_^

Just done a quick cost comparison between the KS and retail and it's a decent saving for internationals, mostly due to the postage cost.

Basic Pledge (including Xicana) $12

International Postage $5

Cephalid Siren $8

Placoderm Fish $14

Elder God Statue $16

Total $55

The same from Antimatters store $74.96 (International postage making up $15 of that)

I couldn't find any UK supplier and the only results on eBay were from the US with postage about the same price as the figure again.

EDIT: The Elder God Statue has had a price change and is now showing as $18 with another $5 for international postage so it's $62 compared to $74.96

only 7 days left on the mini kicker! some great stuff is now available. if you are in the mood for something different in minis gaming, aesthetically and tactically, you should really check it out:http://www.kickstart...yss-mini-kicker . most stuff will ship by xmas. dive suits vs. giant intelligent nautilus creatures? yes please.

been working on my modular game board, and i thought there is a slim chance it might inspire some people. the crystal patches are one type of objective used in the game.

yep, but that is the minimum price and this guy is pretty big (as you can see in the pics i posted of the group a ways back) . you should ask, but my guess would be that an $18 pledge (at the $12 level) would cover it ($14 for the mini + $4 shipping). personally im hoping for the nautiloid to open up: $25 of horrific, giant sized, hyper intelligent mutant nautilus with a ray gun.

No, the Steel Jaw Placoderm is on a 50mm base, and would not be able to be selected at the Basic reward. That $12 Basic pledge only gets you figures on a 30mm base.

Edit: And vulture is correct; Eric may left you add funds to that base pledge to cover the difference in price between the average 30mm base fig and this big guy.

The DeepWars - Guardians of the Abyss Mini Kicker is in its last few days and has unlocked a bunch of new figures, bits and terrain. The original DeepWars Kickstarter shipped its rewards on schedule, a massive undertaking, and so this new project is meant to give new customers a chance to get DeepWars items for the Holidays as well as get new items produced for later.

There are some really big creatures, mechs and a hulking bio-submarine wreck that is added as "wishful thinking" stretch goals. Check it out here.

DeepWars is a tabletop wargame where forces battle below the waves of a lost underground ocean beneath a frozen southern continent, vying for control over ancient sunken ruins and wrecks holding powerful artifacts and golden treasure. Players command warbands from one of four main forces, developing their warriors as they gain experience though combat, exploration and recovery of treasure. Click the book section below to see a preview pdf of the DeepWars rulebook.

Need to mention the High Roller options.

Every Backer at $195 or more gets an additional 4 medium sized (30mm base) miniatures of their choice (8 total now). Every Backer at $285 or more gets an additional 8 medium sized (30mm base) miniatures of their choice (16 total now).

I'd totally missed that those were upgrades to the existing pledge levels, effectively doubling the bonus miniatures. This has me seriously considering stepping up to the $285 level, regardless of what my wallet things about it.
