Speedmaster Tournament

Saturday at Chicago Gamer's Conclave 4 I ran the Speedmaster Tourney.

We had eight entries and decided to let everyone fly at once.

I have to say that even though I did not play in this event I had a blast running it. The players (most were beginners) had a fun time that we ran the race again afterwards.

Here is the link to the photos and I also put the rules up on it's own page.

I highly recommend this event for anyone who wants to have a lot of fun. ::D:

The track is roughly 4 feet by 2-1/2 feet.

I can't believe how fun it was. After the first few turns the players took over and all I had to do was to answer the occasional question and fire the Referee emplacements every once in a while.

We had this little agreement that if someone was not present when their card came up the Referee emplacements opened fire at +6 (no target lock). It was funny the turrets actually fired in order around the track.

Thanx,

I was thinking figure 8 for next Speedmaster. the center portion of the track is not permanent. Now that you mentioned it I'll probably have it carved, painted, photographed by tomorrow afternooon. ::P:
