psyberwolfe1
Great Batrep. Makes me wish more people played this locally.

sethohman
I went to buy this the other day, and sold out. Store cannot get it in, and a few retailers online have it listed as out of stock at the manufacturer. Huge bummer. Had to use my store credit on some GW stuff instead (since who can let store credit sit there longer than 10 or 15 minutes??).
Heisler
X-Wing is being carried by Target. Check there for it.
sethohman
I did not know that. Thanks. Easier to hide a Target purchase in the bills, too :)
Heisler
I haven't seen the extra ships there though, just the basic game.
Jordan Peacock
I think I'd be more into this if I could figure out how to use my collection of Star Wars spaceship minis (the plastic WOTC ones, or my much-older Micro Machines) rather than paying $15 a pop for EACH starfighter. :(
Heisler
Just mount them on some kind of flying stand and you should be good to go. Here are a variety of flight stands available from Litko: http://www.litko.net/categories/Flight-Stands/ Edited January 8, 2013 by Heisler
Sergeant_Crunch
CorSec Engineering also makes replacement bases for x-wing that you could mount your WOTC figures on. Also, if you purchase online the expansion figures are cheaper. I think I got my for around $10. Personally I think they're worth it as everything is ready for play out of the box. I'm sick of painting.
Marsya
Barnes and noble also sells x wing the base set and addl ships.
Chrome
I've been playing this a lot lately and really enjoying it. We have league night every Tuesday and have been averaging about 12 players a night, with 15 different guys (not counting the organizer) having played at least two weeks. I was ranked as high as #2 until I crashed and burned last week against the #1 player. A few weeks ago I had uber-hot dice, but karma caught up to me this week. In a 100 pt game, I only managed to kill one of his TIE Fighters (and the cheapest one at that) while he totally wiped me out in 5 turns. It was demoralizing! LOL I've got to miss next week's game due to one of my son's extra-curricular activities, so I expect to fall down to 7th or 8th place in the league. That will leave me 3 weeks to climb back up as high as I can. The top 3 finishers win prizes. BTW, for anyone looking to get into the game, I can't stress enough that you should just go ahead and buy 2 Starter boxes. For starters, its cheaper to buy the 2nd box than to buy 2 more TIEs and another X-Wing separately. Secondly, its hard to find the extra dice sets right now and the 6 that come with one Starter aren't enough. Its pretty common to need to roll 4 dice. Sergeant_Crunch
If I were playing with a larger opponent population than my sons I would probably buy another starter set. I did buy the TIE and X-Wing boosters for the additional pilot cards. I need to get a game in this weekend. I have the Falcon but have yet to use it. Chrome
The Falcon rocks. I've been running the Falcon/Chewie with Biggs' X-wing all season. They've done pretty well until this one last game, but my die rolling is what lost me that game, not the ships. I've also got a pair of Firesprays (Slave I) but I've yet to use both of them at the same time.
pocketcthulhu
there's a group that plays every thursday in little rock, they sit behind my Pf group and we tend to make fun of each other Untill someone at one of the two tables drops a die then everyone freezes and starts looking for it.
