buglips*the*goblin
I think my poor 5/0 synthetic is finally done for. I have replacements coming, and this one soaking to see if I can eke enough life out of it to finish my skeletons.
Jabberwocky
A bit late to the party, but I've really enjoyed going through the thread. Very good stuff! Thanks for the recipe on the spider, too!
buglips*the*goblin
Skeletal Archers: You can see that the one front left has an incompletely molded base. First I've seen of something like that. That would be enough, in metal, for me to hassle Reaper about a replacement but with Bones so long as there's enough for him to stand on his own then I'm content to throw him into service. Still weird, though. Also, I'm not real fond of how these guys have no lower jaw. I think it makes them look a bit funny. But, overall, they're not bad.

buglips*the*goblin
The reglazing of Flit will be done when his four surly chromatic friends show up, as I'll be doing the same thing to green's and blue's wings that I did on Flit. Today and tomorrow we're supposed to get another pile of snow, so I'll be painting Bones between excavations. But after this weekend, I'll be making Sundays Takdays. That should allow for reasonable progress on The Evil One while also keeping up my output of Bones. I'll have a purple worm to show soon.
Girot
I noticed everybody is painting Flit as a Red, despite the original model being a Blue... any particular reason beyond personal preference?
ObsidianCrane
The Legendary Encounters version is Red, the name implies he is red "Young Fire Dragon"?
Girot
I missed the fire part. Oh well.
Teskal
You can see who played D&D or AD&D, if you look how (s)he thinks about dragon colors. :-)
fanguad
There are 10 colors of dragons, and anyone who says otherwise obviously has no idea what they're talking about.
Teskal
yeah, no yellow dragon, no brown dragon, or mithril, or any jewelish dragons. Oh, oh, there is one Platinum Dragon!
Last Knight
I gave my daughter Flit and Torg today; she's going to paint Flit yellow. Apparently, she's going to paint Torg blue.
ObsidianCrane
You know brown and gem dragons were in 1E yeah? I'm pretty sure I have the Best of Dragon with them in it still.
buglips*the*goblin
I noticed everybody is painting Flit as a Red, despite the original model being a Blue... any particular reason beyond personal preference? In this case he was Tak's understudy to make sure my planned mostly red scheme on her would work. Flit's four terrible siblings are en route to make blue, green, white, and black Flits. Flit could also serve as additional types, but I think I'll stop at the basic chromatics and choose a different sculpt to make gem and metallics out of. For the most part we seem to have a greater need for bad dragons anyway. Personally, my favourite dragons are white dragons. They might be stupid, and cruel, and evil, but they're still my favourite.
