Girot
Sorry I posted this in teh wrong thrad forst by mistake. here goes again: Question: does the diorama have to include the whole dragon? Eg. If the dragon is partially submerged or buried? Or even just a massive head as "smaug vs bilbo" in the hobbit 2 trailer? oooh, good question... Inarah
I'll allow partial dragons as long as there's a good amount of dragon visible. The front half of a dragon emerging from a cave is ok, only the tip of a tail showing is not. If your massive head is really massive -- remember we have a size minimum -- then I'll allow it. We want to _see_ big_dragons_. And as always, decisions will be made when we see the piece.
angrygerbil
Hi. I already entered my Nethyrmaul in the Single Dragon Here Be Dragons competition setup by MonkeySloth. Can I enter both or only one? What is the difference?
MonkeySloth
You can enter both. Rules are in the first post of each thread. General diorama rules are: What's a diorama? Well it's a scene or vignette that helps tell a story. While dioramas don't always have to contain more then one figure, if done really well, we're going to place a minimum of 2 with at least one a dragon. Please ask in the discussion thread if you have questions. There are some things to be aware of outside of that, like what the judges are scoring off of, but that's all that we're requiring. brimstone326
I'm in. I didn't know this was going on, someone was kind enough to suggest my dragon would fit here. Kickstarter - Red Pathfinder dragon. It was the first one out of the box I painted, and I loved every hour of it. Wished I'd bought two.
Inarah
Looks good. There is a contest entries thread that you'll want to post that in, though, not this one.
brimstone326
Looks good. There is a contest entries thread that you'll want to post that in, though, not this one. This was the only one I could find... someone suggested I post in Here Be Dragons, and all I found was this. Could you post a link?
MonkeySloth
It's the stickied thread just below this one. http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?/topic/49645-here-be-dragons-2013-single-dragon-entry/
Inarah
It's awfully quiet. I hope that means everyone is busy painting.
Moderator OneBoot Posted October 11, 2013 Moderator Share Posted October 11, 2013 There's also at least two competitions/challenges closing at the end of this month, so I think a lot of people are focusing their efforts there right now (I know I am....) Huzzah! --OneBoot :D
Inarah
Yeah, I know, I'm responsible for at least one of them. :) And painting for all 3 myself.
Slendertroll
It's awfully quiet. I hope that means everyone is busy painting. I know I am! Just need to finish painting the base on my Bones PF Red and he'll be ready for photos. He's my first full-sized dragon (Flit doesn't really count) and I think he turned out pretty well.
ShadowRaven
I still need to finish the base on my Amber dragon, finish one of the figures for my diorama, and actually get back to work on my pathfinder red. Oh well, that's what November is for, once the snows come.
redambrosia
My ral partha dragon is sitting on the edge on my work space, glaring at me reprochfully, while I finish all the other little minis on my space. Once I finish what I have, including the 2 for the contests this month, that mecha dragon is going full throtle into painting mode. Hopefully I do him justice /gulp
