ub3r_n3rd
I derail stuff all the time, I think I've been reading too many threads where Buglips comes in to comment Anyhow, I can see how those gears and nuts could come in handy for some kind of sci-fi or steampunk type of basing and/or conversions. You should totally put that in your other thread (if you haven't already). Back to the topic - So I'm thinking now that I might do a sacrifice of a person by cultists to their dragon-god for my diorama. I will make the dragon removable so that I can enter him into both threads AND be able to use him at the table when the time calls for it, effectively killing 3 birds with one stone!
Slendertroll
I wouldn't think you could enter one dragon into both contests, even if he is removable.
ub3r_n3rd
I wouldn't think you could enter one dragon into both contests, even if he is removable. I believe the question was answered that it can be if it fits both criteria, but I could be mistaken. I think the only thing was it can't be entered as a diorama if it's just the single dragon and it can't be entered into the single dragon if it's a diorama, but if he's removable he'd be eligible for either or both. Can anyone verify this?
Slendertroll
Huh. Not my contest, so I could be wrong, but I'd think that one painted dragon = one entry, and wouldn't allow double-dipping.
ub3r_n3rd
My thought is most people will probably enter only 1 contest anyhow. Not sure how many would try to make things removable from the diorama base to use in gaming and/or enter into the single dragon contest. My primary reason behind removable is to be able to use at my gaming table though. Okay found the answer: "Enter as many times as you want but only one entry per person per category can win." So I can only enter 1 dragon per category. I think I'll just end up doing the diorama since that is what I have the most interest in challenging myself to do. Inarah
You can have multiple entries per category, but only one will be eligible for a prize. IE you can't take first and second place in single figure. You can enter both diorama and single figure, and win once in each. I'm not sure about entering the same figure with different bases in two categories.
ub3r_n3rd
@Inarah - That makes sense, I don't want to go into that thread and ask the question so perhaps monkeysloth or whoever is running the other contests will come over here to clarify. If I can enter 1 w/ 2 different bases I will do so, but if not I'll just work on the removable diorama for myself and not worry about the single dragon entry. Moderator OneBoot Posted November 15, 2013 Moderator Share Posted November 15, 2013 I thought the diorama had to have two or more dragons...? *checks thread* Ah, I see, it's that there has to be a minimum of two figures, one of which has to be a dragon. This will make my plans a lot simpler! Huzzah! --OneBoot :D

Nameless
I wanted to use my diorama entry as a birthday gift for my lady (Dec, 1st), but I think I'm gonna be late... Still, I'm getting close to completing this work.
Moderator OneBoot Posted December 2, 2013 Moderator Share Posted December 2, 2013 Sadly, I'm going to have to bow out; I got a bit over-eager in planning to give painted minis as Christmas presents this year, and I don't know if I'm going to have time to paint all of them, let alone finish my dragon. It'll get done eventually, just not in time for the contest. That's okay, though, family comes first! :) Huzzah! --OneBoot :D
