Anyone know about what time I should try and show up to grab the door tickets for a class?

If I remember correctly, the doors open around the 8:00 - 8:30 timeframe. You probably could start standing in line about that time.

Only the available tickets for that day (and for that day only) will available once check in opens. I don't remember when we opened check in... 9?

Thanks. I will have to make a list and plan to not have too bad a hang over those days.

That's correct. My friend and I got there around 8:30-8:45 on the days we needed to buy tickets for a class to stand in line. I would recommend getting there as early as you can since they are expecting more people this year. Good luck!

I lucked up this year and was able to get all of my top picks! So excited! ::D:

Dont really know what to do with the one-on-one class.

Consider the one on one classes to be a personalized lesson on whatever. Bring a few minis to show what you've done, and get individualized attention and practice on whatever topic you want.

For example, shear fabrics with amazingly smooth blends with Rhonda, sculpt a new mousling concept with Gene, or how to paint your dragon with Sue.

Also, I know this has been said before, but even if you don't get the classes you want all the instructors make themselves very available when they aren't in events or classes. I spent the better part of the Con last year bothering Ali, Rhonda, Jen, and Michael Proctor.

The person who bought my one-on-one last year posted that she had, and I contacted her privately to ask if there were particular topics she was interested in, and to suggest that she bring some pieces for me to look at. So I was able to prepare some notes and thoughts in advance, and not have to worry about con brain making me too stupid to be helpful. I will be very happy to do the same thing for the person who buys it this year. I can't speak for all the instructors (other than to say we all find it helpful for you to bring pieces of your work that show where you are right now), but it probably wouldn't hurt to send a PM to check if there's anything else they want you to bring, or anything they'd like to know about what you're interested in.

For those that missed out, 3 tickets are held at the door. These will be sold the day of the class, first come first served.

You cannot buy Saturday's class on Friday, but you can buy late day classes in the morning. For that first block of time, be sure to get here in enough time to get it before class begins.

It's because of this attitude that I'm bringing you more cherry blossoms :)
