Mine arrived Friday.

Question for you guys? How many of you are painting the fig and how many are simply going 'heh it's a board game, so no painting needed'?

Bench is pretty much cleared off for the foreseeable future (just the manger left to finish by xmas)...we'll see how far I get, though. Raise the Dead pledge, each season 2 KS survivor, all the artist boxes.

Only four of the promo survivors are shipping in wave 1. The others and the artist boxes are coming in wave 2.

Mine arrived on Friday. CKPM still has nothing about it being sent.

Woo-hoo! Mine could be here tomorrow is what you're saying?

In theory...

In theory there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice there usually is.

Mine's still in the 'in transit' black hole...in my city. I was at the post office checking my box and forgot to ask if it was available for pickup (as I imagine it's scheduled to load onto a truck tomorrow or Wednesday). I've been ok with being patient, but I finished Luther early and don't want to start another project until the box gets here!

I hope you guys get it soon!

We had our second game at the FLGS with 8 players! It is really popular.

The next game is on Halloween night. ooooo creepy!

Dogs, both companion and zombiefied are cool.

I got the level that had Prison Outbreak but not Toxic City Mall. I got 2 characters that use a .45 and a flamethrower, but no item cards for them. I see now that the characters were supposed to be included in Toxic City Mall, so the cards were in that game making the characters useless. I am going to contact the KS and see if they can send the cards.

My Raise the Dead showed up while I was home for lunch. The cat and I had fun poking through all the goodies, though it was pretty cursory as I had to get back to work. Still, pretty good timing for the new mailman who is usually an hour or two later on the route.

Which to paint first....

So, this may be slightly off topic, but how are you planning to do the berserk and toxic zombies to set them apart from the "normal" undead?

I've considered a few plans. One is to paint them as normal but leave the outer ring on the base showing with it's berserk/toxic color. I've also thought about painting as normal, then a bright (fluorescent?) wash of red or green as appropriate in hopes that is would look like they are permeated with their particular flavors of evil. My third thought is to paint them as normal, then do some reverse zenithal highlighting by shooting them lightly with an airbrush from below the mini using the appropriate color. Sort of an "uplighting" effect.

(this question is for anyone planning to paint their zombies)
