Jen
I took inspiration for the pattern from some pictures of tropical fish I got on Google, and added some seaweed to her base (which doesn't show up very well). C&C welcome!
badocter
Almost as though skin is showing through the scales. Very cool effect. Outstanding work with the skintones as well. :) Edited January 26, 2013 by badocter
Tricksay
Like how the skin tone, which is really good, fades into the blue of her tail. Nice work
Pingo
An unusual color choice, and quite well done.

Metalchaos
Sweet! I like the contemplative look on her face and the reddish stripes on the tail.
Sanael
Awesome work on the skin-to-scale transition, and the blues you've used are stellar. My two nits to pick: I'd love to see more bright highlights on her hair (your blonde recipe looks great, but it looks too dry for a mermaid, some pure white pinpoints would help this), and the same on some of the scales (again, to create a wet look). Oh, and the orang parts are great; you've done a nice job with the backlit/neon look these kinds of tropical fish have.
Jay
Very nice. I like her expression.

Oh, and the orang parts are great; you've done a nice job with the backlit/neon look these kinds of tropical fish have. The hair is poofy and full, and clearly dry. Wet hair lies flat and sticky. The sculpt was given dry hair, so to my eye, it looks right painted this way.
Sanael
A fair point. I'd still like to see shine on the scales, though. And I'd like to echo the comments about her expression. I love her wistfulness.
