As of right now I'm writing character specific adventure hooks. Do any of you have any issues with this? If so do you have a preference? In doing so I may take a slight bit of artistic license with your character, but nothing that will in any way change them.

It has a black spine and an orange cover with a guy on a horse. The cover says "newly revised, expanded, and updated..."

I don't have any objections to adventure hooks. It should be a lot more fun than "ok, you are all in the tavern..."

I also have no objections if other characters want to admit to knowing me. Alfreda's a nice girl who just happens to have fallen in amongst actors.

I've decided to go the easy route and be a man-at-arms for hire. Or, at least, that's my story. At some point either I'll expand on this with a note to Loim, or (and I've done this before) simply entrust "surprise back story" to Loim and roll with it.

Why yes, mysterious plot stranger, my sister was indeed captured by lizardmen gypsies and that's actually why I'm out adventuring. And I was all along. Totally doing that all along. Not even surprised a bit by your appearance, actually. I've been expecting it.

Seriously thought over the weekend about beastman as a race & I thoroughly read the entry as well. I think I'm gonna ditch that one & go with elf, wood elf to specific. I'm in the process of working on the character right now & I should have it tomorrow sometime.

Sorry for the delay on this one...

Incoming giant wall of text. Defend yourselves.

Apologies for my tardiness in getting information up concerning the world. Not a lot of the information was ever written down, since the world was developed over the course of several years of gaming with my group, and most of the information was common knowledge. I'm also making some revisions that I think make it a better, more playable world. Remember I was 18 when I designed this place, and a lot of the things that got added reflect whatever author I happened to be reading at the time. I'm also revamping the map a bit, to give it some more cohesion, a better layout, and reflect changes that have happened to Renascentia. This adventure is taking place roughly 800 years after my last gaming group's exploits. A lot of the history that happened here is either directly or indirectly related to the things The Companions of Greywall did (or didn't do).

Renascentia was created by a group of exiled gods and goddesses as a place of refuge. When they went into exile they left behind most of the peoples they had created, but many of their most devout followers refused to abandon them, and followed them into exile, as well as the souls and spirits that were in their care. They found an unfinished world, in a dormant solar system, and they set about creating a place for their followers, so they would not be forced to follow them into the final exile. What this final exile was is still unknown. The God of Thievery and one of the trickster gods volunteered to "locate" raw materials for the construction of the new world; trees, oceans, mountains, etc. They appropriated the materials for this construction by visiting many other worlds and collecting lost, forgotten, or unwanted things. Some of these things they rendered down to their essence, some they lazily dropped in as they were. No one is sure if it's because of the Gods' intent on creating a refuge, or because of the nature of the material used to create the world, but Renascentia has become a haven for lost and forgotten things. Sometimes they find their way there, some times they just show up. To date no one has ever been able to figure out the why or the how of this, but because of this some names may appear familiar. These places may have been named in honor of a remembered place or thing, or possibly, it might be the original.

Take maximum HP and gold for your starting class.

I remember you saying that, and I think I did the hp right, but I may have grossly miscalculated the max gold. (5d4 x 10 is 200, not 30 - think I misread as +10  ). Is it too late to upgrade her armor a bit?
