Well, I've been delayed in getting her posted, but here's last week's mini. Really enjoyed playing with the oranges on her...which isn't as euphemistic as it sounds...

...ahem.

The orange shade of her cloak was very fun to paint. She's also heavily weapon-swapped; the greataxe is meant to have been a gift from the PC's dwarven mentor, hence the freehanded "runes" on the blade.

For those interested in the other PCs, the WiP thread is linked in my sig.

C&C, as always, quite welcome.

We use an apx. 1" grid. These bases are just fine. They aren't big enough to appear "large," so there haven't been any problems.

So no daisy chaining so minis end up half in one square and half in another in a confined space yet :)

I found a 30mm base was a problem once monsters and PCs started clumping up. Mind I was playing in a public venue with a random table so perhaps it was more who I was with than the situation.

Since we don't use anything that has 3D walls, it's easy to let things act like Kitty Pryde and phase through walls if the bases are too wide for the space. And our encounters don't seem to involve too many swarms of things, and even when they do, it's easy enough to ignore the grid and say "base-to-base" is melee distance. Mostly, the grid is a reference point for movement more than anything.

I really like the color scheme, so warm. Also orange isn't the easiest color, you've done a bang up job here!

Thank you. I generally like the darker warm colors; although it is difficult I love working in red, so this was quite fun. My real challenge is coming up soon...the Kender in this party, I think, will be in bright yellow. That's going to be tough for me to paint.
